old style building Staff service is good.
Areas of improvement: - Wifi not working other than ground floor which is not detailed before . False promise against the details which provided in the online site. - Less choice for breakfast. -Awful alot of noise in the third floor. -Not worth the penny -Cancellation policy should be changed according to customer benfits rather than company needs.
Great location, awesome staff. Ive been staying here everytime i go ti Brussels. Extremely happy with Hotel George V
Only bad thing is no wifi on the top the floor. Everything else is fine.
. Cheap . Male Staff was cooperative
. 10 minutes from main place (not easy to find) . Heater not working (very bad) . WiFi Not working on 4th Floor . Breakfast options were limited
Dirty, small room, poor breakfast. In addition, they charged a higher rate than that of the booking, without providing explanations( despite my protests)
Staff is kind and location is great: at 10 minutes walking distance from Brussels downtown (Grand Place)
Room was very small and very dirty. The bed was uncomfortable and WiFi is not visible past 1st floor.
The location is very good. Price is very low.
The bed was terrible the spings were pointing out of the bed. The breakfast is a minimum that you should except. Internment in the room disconnect s every 15-30 minutes.
Location was brilliant. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was also good. All in all, very good place to stay here for young couples/young people only to sleep and have breakfast.
Wifi was only in first floor.
staff very helpful
room in the lobby so we could hear every doorbell when someone came into and went out of the hotel.
Location is very good - close to the square.
Horror - starting with customer service ending with the parody of breakfast. The worst hotel I stayed at. The price does not correspond to quality !!!
The Cafe Pom in the nearby Place is good.
You'd be naive to expect much for the advertised price - you get even less than you'd believe. Sticky carpets, grubby toilet, unmade bed, a shower room so small you have to climb ( literally ) over the toilet to get to, no room cleaning, pressure to pay cash... And then they add 12 euros to the website cost for tax, charges, etc, so not even worth the price you thought you'd pay. Pay ten euros more for Ibis or something.
Unlike the other cheap hotels in Brussels city centre, a buffet, albeit limited, was included. Good value for money for no frills travellers.
The liquid soap dispensers in the bathroom where empty - and looked like they had been for a long time. So was left to wash with a bar of (unperfumed) soap - just like in the old days...
Hamid, the manager was very helpful! He assisted us with purchasing tickets to Bruges in the train on his computer.
The so called breakfast ( which I payed extra for and couldn't eat, so left) consisted of hard, stale bread, the croissant was as hard as a bullet (it was one small one per person, as we were the only two staying for breakfast, there were only two put out). The cereals were uncovered and stayed put throughout our stay! There were no juices until we asked! The carpet in the bedroom was dirty and stained! The bathroom had a missing tile on the floor where we kept catching our fret on! The bathroom tiles had black, moulding grout! The towels (one per person throughout the three night stay) were smelly and crusty! The whole building was shabby and grubby! The bathroom window wouldn't open and as we were in a room way up in the rafters, we felt claustrophobic!
I liked the price and the ubication... Fair walking distance walking from the center and the staff is there for anything you need.
I didn't like the bathrooms, they were very small and a weird smell on it, oi didn't wanted to take a shower there because I forgot no flip flops.... But it didn't look so clean to take the risk and take a shower so I didn't
Staff was really helpful, gave us tips about where to go and map. Also they had lots of interesting small brochures about tourist destinations nearby. Price level of the room was cheap during our stay.
In the breakfast some of the croissants and chocolate bread was obviously days too old.
Very old and dirty
The worst hotel I've ever seen. Arrogant unfriendly staff. The guy on reception pretended that terminal is not working, so we had to pay in cash. Wifi was not working. Bathroom, besides being not really clean, is in poor condition. And yeah, if you want to come back to the hotel late in the night, enjoy knocking and being ignored.
The location is good, a short walk from city centre and also near trams to rail stations. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a lift which is handy if you are carrying lots of bags to an upper floor!
Wifi signal doesn't work on upper floors. The property is dated and needs some work on the furnishings. But it's ok for the price. I also have friend who was mugged very near this place but that could happen anywhere.
This is a simple, clean but not a poor hotel. Small rooms and rather simple bathroom but good enough for an overnight stay for a few days in the heart of the Brussels Centre. The mostly Iranian staff speaks English and is friendly and helpful. Do not expect luxuary but an affordable small hotel just for sleeping. Will book again!
I would say the breakfast could be a little better. Although € 7,00 is not a lot of money this 'buffet'style breakfast was actually the only dissonant in the whole stay. With an egg, some cheese and some cold meat cuts the breakfast could be upgrade easily. Still i will book again if i need to.
We really appreciated the helpfulness of the staff, especially the evening staff person. He was friendly, personable and very helpful. The location was also perfect for exploring the old town of Brussels.
Although attention to cleanliness was nowhere near our standard, we kind of know what to expect when staying in 2 or 3 star accommodations.
Breakfast but only if you go first... then everything ends and nobody replaces with new things to eat. Yes, it''s close to Grand Place but it's also quite close to one of the bad areas in Bruxelles. NOt so easy to find! Nice building though, pleasant atmosphere!
There's absolutely no wi-fi in the room!
Good location, low price
Not so clean bathroom, small room, noisy street (impossible to sleep after 9 am)
I greatly enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond to help and accommodate our needs. The breakfast was pretty good for the price and the location was perfect.
The wifi on the second floor was very, very weak.
that I booked it only for one night
I could write a novel about that, but the worst was the bathroom. Dirty, damaged, used towels under the washbasin and a lot of hair of previous guests. ... if you ever forced to stay there, don't use the lift. You may be well the last one to use it .... and btw don't expect to get a receipt (unless you specifically request it)
Location and very friendly staff. The hotel is also quite cheap so value for money in that sense
Tiny room and decor very outdated, for example the carpet in the bedrooms. Room was quite cold during the night and would have been a little more clean.
