Overpriced. Very basic room - like a youth hostel. Noisy. Very smelly carpets in public areas. Toilet similar to being on an airplane. Wouldn't use again.

The staff was very nice and friendly. The location is central but on a very ugly, crowded and loud street. The hotel is between a Pizza Hut and some other fast food restaurant to give you an idea. The decoration of the rooms is horrible and depressing. The hotel needs to be completely redone and refurbished. Our room smelled stale and smoky.

excellent bed sloppy and grubby hotel, room was not entire cleaned, empty liquor bottles on the closet, creaking floors, entire hotel needs renovation. Service quality of reception is very poor. Moody and grumpy staff at reception. You cannot drive your car in front of the hotel, situated in pedestrian area.

I have stayed in many hotels but I have never stayed in such a shabby venue in my whole life. The wall-paper was coming off the wall in my so-called comfort room, the light bulbs were not working in the bathroom, nor was the lamp on the bedside table working. The floor needed hoovering, and the matress was appalling - you could literally feel the springs and the bed had rather be termed a hammock. Don't try any of the beverages in the morning; the coffee maker is filthy and left-over coffee, tea, or other beverages are poured into a transparent little bucket for all guests to look at during the breakfast. The hotel is shabby, the staff look unclean, and the staff were unfriendly. Don't ask them to tell you whether there are any boat trips -- they will tell you that there are none; don't be fooled though, there are several boat companies. Add to the general lack of politeness and uncleanliness of the staff (don't mention food hygiene) the generally shabby appearance of the interior, and you have a hotel that you do not want to stay. We paid for the weekend and left after the first night - in fact, we would have left shortly after checking in, had we not missed the last train back to Ghent.

It was accessable for the town, the breakfast was good and staff freindly Room 131. While the bed was clean, the room itself was dark and dinjey not up to standard for the price. The carpet was stained and looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks, there was plug sockets loose on the wall, holes in the wall where an old bracket had been removed, bedside lamp was full of dust and light attachment broken, the door handle came off but was fixed when notified. Our friends were in room 321 which was the complete oposite, clean light and airy. I would not recommend that hotel and more than likey not stay there again. I believe this is meant to be a 3 star hotel - I would argue that point

Close to all local facilites staff friendly and helpful. Roms require more up dated decor. Parking was expensive as hotel did not provide and the place where we parked was not close to hotel. As we would like, shower area in the family room was not up to standard as the water went all over the floor . which could lead to a bad accident if young and older people using. In addtion we had to use loads of towels to mop up the water which was not good for the environment. .

Great location. Room smallish but seen much worse in England. Overall nice place! Smoking area looked like it needed some care. Also we made the mistake of using the lift! That was an experience. Platform that moved up n down, walls moving next to you. :S didn't feel safe at all.

I liked the hotel because it is central to most facilities. The staff are friendly and made our stay most comfortable, they were very helpfull. We have stayed there before and the service has not changed one bit. We would recomend the Hotel to all our friends if they were going to stay in Ostend. We will be going back to the Hotel any time we are in Ostend. We usually go about three times a year, so will be staying there if any vacanies.

The fact that it was central. The breakfasts were good . the linen and bathroom were clean.Altho there was a fairground situated very close by while we were there. It was not heard in the hotel. This is not a permanent feature. Beware The lift sometomes didn't work so on the 3rd floor this was tiring for a pensioner !! The dining area where you pick your food up was very crowded on the Saturday morning we were there. There is no parking around the hotel. These are not complaints but observations. Our complaint about our door being left unlocked all day went to the management.

The staff were excellent with good command of English and very friendly. The rooms were well cleaned every day and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is situated right in the middle of Ostend so parking is a problem but there are many secure underground car parks, just expensive at 21 Euro per day,but everone pays this even the locals.

We liked the fact they catered for large families. Our room was very spacious and the beds were very comfy. We were dissapointed that there wasnt a car park, and so it cost us an extra 22 euros to park the car for the night.
