Very attractive building. Hotel had all the facilities you woudl expect from a 4 star hotel. In fact we were left wondering whiy it wasn't classified as 5 star. Not easy to find! The main entrance is in a pedestrian only street and you need to know to drive to the back entrance. |

Very plesant surroundings , nice staff , very nice rooms . I really felt ripped off having to pay 46 euro for two breakfasts which consisted of a bowl of fruit and a coffee . This after paying I think over 150euro for the room. This one reason is enough for me not to return to the marriot .I don't mind paying a reasonable amount for breakfast but 46 euro for two is plain and simple a rip off . |

We loved staying at the Marriot. It was very difficult to get to by car but after a few trips around the area to get entrance we called hotel and reception was very good at directing us. We enjoyed our visit thoroughly. |

Great location - right in the heart of the old town and opens onto the canalside waterfront. Really creative building architecture - fuses the old merchant houses on the canal front with a modern atrium, rather good bar (try the various martinis and other cocktails). Rooms on high floors (4-5) have views over the rooftops of the town. Not the cheapest car-park in the world - we stayed just over 24h for 22 EUR - but at least it *has* a car park right under the hotel which often isn't the case in the old town. |

Great location (right smack in the middle of things), nice quiet and clean rooms, superb view of the Korenlei at breakfast, easy parking in basement garage. Not all the "modern" design of the hotel's interior and exterior was pleasing to the eye, espacially compared to the scenery of Ghent! |

great central hotel last time our stay was perfect. this time we had to complain three times re chambermaid. upon arrival bathroom soaps/ shampoo hadn,t been replenished, nor were they over the three days, we left the room on the sunday at 10am and returned at 1545 and our room hadn't been made up, and wasn't that day. the tea/coffee was not properly replenished. |
