Score from 461 reviews Very good
Location is excellent; Staff is helpful but more focused on handling restaurant side of business; Simply but tastefully designed rooms; Was nice to be able to make local phone call from the front desk
When I arrived ( Sunday) staff advised their internet went down and would not be fixed until 4 days later (my stay was only 2 nights); No place to store bags but behind the kitchen; Shower cabin had nasty curtains; Hotel carpet has not been renovated for a while and had that old hotel smell; Breakfast served contained only 2 pieces of bread, few slices of cheese&ham and a glass of orange juice ( with condiments);
it was close to the centre
The toilet was not a separate room... Was actually in the room! divided by a screen. and also, dirty! imagine like in prison. Very uncomfortable especially for a young couple! The staff was rude and the breakfast was less than basic.Too expensive for the value! I really cannot recommend it! It was an awful experience!
The location is awesome - it's a 5-10 minutes walk from the main square, and the walk is well worth every step - Bruges is a beautiful place. Room was spacious and clean, beds vast and comfy.
A number of things. There's one toilet per story and one shower cabin per two stories (maybe some rooms have dedicated bathrooms though). Shower cabin was very shallow, and there was no light in the shower - we reported it in the evening, but it was still not there in the morning. Wifi wasn't working for a "well, it's broken" reason. Funky smell in the corridor (room was OK though). There's no AC, so we had to keep windows open - and it was rather noisy outside (at least) that night. Breakfast is white bread, coffee, plastic packs of jam and butter and few slices of a cheap cheese and beef - not that I fancy a splurge breakfast, but having a single warm croissant instead of that "selection" would make me much happier.
Within walking distance of the train station and close to the centre of town. Rooms were simple and clean and breakfast was filling.
Locks to the shower were changed in the morning at peak showering time. Lock has been changed so shouldn't be an issue any longer. 1 shower for 2 floors is perhaps not quite enough.
Located near the center
- Shower not in the room - Poor room quality - no elevator
Nice room. Good breakfast.
The common shower is really dirty. The water didn't flow away through all the hairs. They didn't clean this during our stay.
1 .Near to city centre 2. secure Parking facilities near to Hotel However its not included within the hotel cost.
No Flexibility with Breakfast its 8 till 10 even if you ask for 10 to 15 mins earlier no compromise disappointing.
there is no good
shared bathroom and shower curtains capsule full of mold. very steep stairs for suitcases. very bad mattress
Location was great. Room was a good size and the sink in the room was nice.
Bathroom down hall around the corner. Shower down hall. One shower and bathroom shared by I don't know how many rooms. In the evening when I wanted to have a shower the entire time the shower was being used. Have to either not use whoever or try to get it first. They had NO WIFI the entire time. They said it sometimes works but I didn't see it work at all. Had to stand outside near public building down the street to access free wifi. No elevator and narrow stairs so not a good option is you have big or heavy luggage.
Good location regarding bus and train station also close to center of Bruges. good price 225 euros in august 2014
Hotel has no lifts. Dark corridors, dental floss found in bed sheets before we even slept in them, shared toilets and bathroom, no wash basin in toilet which is disgusting, no drinks facilities in room, window wouldn't close properly.
Location Friendly staff cosy and old style
No toilet in room Shower on different floor and in bad condition Room standard pretty poor
The room was dirty and the light were faulty. The whole place just felt as if it needed a good clean. The manager was very unhelpful. I asked him where I could park my bike and he told me he did not know and he was annoyed that I asked him the question. Check in is only between 12pm and 6pm. So watch out. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!
First of all, there are no WC or Bath in rooms (this is not a suprise, already known). But it may be cleaner. Everybody leaves hotel at 23:00. If toilette paper is out, there is no one to replace it. If you had a problem with water or heating or something, there is no one to tell after 11pm. There is no body to clean wc. If a guest leaves WC dirty, following guest who goes to WC has to clean it. Late check-in is impossible. When we have arrived at 22:30, staff at the lobby (which is a restaurant) were impolite and complaining about our arrival time. At the breakfast, if you are more than 2 person, you have to tell this at previous night to the related staff that you want to sit togother at breakfast. We were 3 person and we wanted to sit togother but staff didn't let us. Because it is very hard to add a plate to the table for them. We transferred 1 plate and 1 knife from another empty table. It feels like an interrail hostel. This price is too much for such an hotel. If you are a traveller who carries 1 back bag, you can find a cheaper hote with same comfort, if you are looking for a comfortable holiday, look for a better hotel
We arrived late (around midnight) after a major car problem, we were unable to contact the hotel to notify them of our late arrival. When we got there the hotel was shut up with no way of alerting anyone and no night porter. We thought it had shut down. On asking around in some bars and hotels close by we were told this was typical of the hotel. I understand this was not the hotels fault, but would expect a hotel to have the facilities to deal with late arrivals.
The location is perfect in the city center near from every thinks and public park for cars(8.7 €/24hr). The breackfast was relatively good.
The main function is not hotel but restraunt of very old building. No reciptation, no services,no internet,no Tv,no aircondition, dirty shared wc.
Location Breakfast Service Food Friendly Staff
Shower was broken Shower wasn't clean Toilet was small
Very basic rooms. No elevator, shared shower..makes it a bit stressful for older people
The room and the breakfast
We didn't like not to find dinner service latter
very good location
shared bathroom poor shower enclosure
Location is great: 10 minutes walking from Bruges train station and 4 minutes from Markt Square (downtown). Breakfast is good: coffee or tea with orange juice (not natural) with bread scoones with ham&cheese and butter&jam. Not excellent but ok. Restaurant was nice. Breakfast included in the price.
The room was the only one with private bathroom at the hotel but the bathroom was old and an addition to the room: there was no door dividing the spaces and the shower was so small that we had really difficulties in using it. Everything about bathroom facilities was really poor. Staff is too serious and not very kind.
Very clean and quiet - the property is over a lovely restaurant very close to the centre of Bruge. It was a shared bathroom and shower, but VERY clean with nice towels!
The bed was clean.
The room had an inside toilet, but no door to it, just a wall separating the bed from the - actually extremely small space of - shower/ toilet. Very old furniture, the drapes had holes in it. Except for the bed nothing was cleaned in the room. And the smell of the room was terrible.
perfect location, very friendly staff, good breakfast for this money, public parking at reasonable price closeby.
no toilet in the room but this was indicated while making the booking; if you consider the price of the room this was not an issue.
location easy access parking perfect to start your visit
fait facilities noisy
