The hotel was excellently placed for making the most of a break in Bruges. The facilities were superb especially the public rooms and bedrooms. The bedrooms were perfect, very comfortable and many have views across one of the cities canals. It is only a couple of minutes walk from the door of the hotel to the central town squares and shopping streets. The hotel restaurant does not serve any meals other than buffet breakfast. I wouldn't hesitate to book again, especially as the price I paid seems excellent value for this standard of accommodation. 10 stars in my book.

The location was fantastic, about a minute from the market square. The breakfast was also very good and the rooms were clean and comfortable. 2 things only: it would have been nice to be able to get some food in the bar and the gym opened too late (I wanted to go before breakfast and couldn't).

Excellent Location - right in the centre of Bruge. Beatifully decorated luxurious hotel and the rooms matched this also. Recommend anyone to stay there. Watch out for the egg shells in the scrambled eggs!!!!!

Great location and clean pleasant rooms Were not able to fall asleep because there was an annoying noise of water pump(?) every 2 minutes. Plus, they have withdrawn the money from the bank account 2 times.

Breakfast staff were friendly and service was good! The reception staff were extremly rude and unhelpfull! Also observed their rudeness towards others. There was no help with arrival and we strggled with our luggage but found a baggage trolley and transported ourselves. On rising the next morning the trolley was still sitting outside our room. The room was dark and dingy and curtains needed to be drawn at all times as we were located next to reception with people constantly walking by and looking in. The rooms were not made up untill extremly late in the day and on one occassion we had to make up our own room changeing towels and sheets etc... Additonally the room was full of mosquitoes and my son and I were bitten severly to the point of needing to visit the Dr. We come from Australia full of mosquitoes but have never been bitten like this....Over all shocking experience!!!!

The bed was so comfortable. The room was decorated beautifully. There was a great amount of space. We have stayed in small hotels, and with a baby and stroller, extra room is nice. The bathroom was very nice with a bathtub and separate shower. The hotel is within walking distance of the area of Bruges that we were visiting. You can literally see Grand Market down the street and it is a 45 second walk away. Great great great location. I guess I didnt like the parking. It cost 20 euro extra and you have to take a car elevator down below the hotel to get there. It takes about 5-10 minutes to get parked because the entrance to the parking is in an alley next to the hotel and it requires quite a bit of forward/backward action to get into the elevator without scraping up your car. I was able to use my wife as a spotter which helped.

A truly lovely hotel. We stayed in one of the 'attic' rooms, which was very spacious, quiet, well appointed and clean. The location of the hotel was central to all of Brugge, so everything we wanted to see was just around the corner. The breakfast buffet offered a wide range of tasty foods. We found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating. The only downside is that we couldn't stay on longer. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brugge.

Nice place Breakfast opens at 07.30 which made my schedule very tight, others no complaints. Be warned though that the garage is obstacle course and not for the novice driver.

Location was amazing, really easy to get anywhere quickly from here. Amazing breakfasts Part of the bar (the nicest part with the fire) was shut off after our first day for general maintenance work which was quite noisy. Service at the bar was very slow and we sometimes had to ask at reception for someone to come through and serve us. However all the staff were lovely

The Hotel is nicely decorated, clean, staff is professional and overall well managed. Comfort Room is on the small side, the suites are great. The Hotel is very good yet to name the only real flaw I noticed is that it is a bit 'cold' and misses a smile at the reception giving an extra sense of hospitality. The staff is rarely at the frontdesk, they are professional and attentive, yet lack icing on the cake in terms of hospitality and friendlyness (hello sir how are you doing etc). Having said that the bartender is great. A great receptionist/ doorman would do the trick. PS: Oh and the rate I was given by the receptionist was lower than charged later but we sorted that out.

We were in the old side of the building with a gorgeous canal view and our kids were in a quadruple on the new side of the building. I have to say I was impressed with both.

The rich elegance, the ambience, the quietness and tranquility, the polite staff. The rooms are amazing with the most comfiest bed I have ever slept in, the modern clean large bathroom and shower with l'occitane soap and shower gel. The carpark is amazing as it is underground and you drive the car in to a lift. A fantastic loaction in a fantastic place. Unbeatable

Beautiful hotel, fireplace at the bar, feels like a castle. Excellent breakfast. Excellent service; our room was not ready at check in, we were kindly asked to wait about 20 min. They offered us a drink in the bar while waiting, very nice. Hotel is in the middle of the historical center. Public parking 500m away (only 9 Euro a day). Good restaurant (Diligence) just across the hotel.

Beautifully decorated in an elegent victorian style. It was a pleasant surprise to found working fireplaces in the lounge/bar area. The hotel is stragetically located within walking distance to the historical center. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

“What a lovely suprise the Flanders was. If you read enough on the 'net you can end up really confusing yourself, but I can honestly say everything about our stay, the room, the staff, the location and the breakfast exceeded our expectations. Room was well proportioned, warm and welcoming with spotless bathroom and comfortable (oversize) bed. Our late arrival made the late check-in and tea-making facillities a lifesaver! Staff were very helpful and the location was five minutes from central Bruges - Hotel Flanders really made our stay one to remember. ” Michael, Liverpool |
