Grand Hotel Casselbergh Brugge  

Comfortable hotel in excellent location for exploring Bruges. Terrific buffet breakfast. Also tea & coffee making facilities in the room.

Twin beds too close together - not possible to separate them by more than a few inches.

Breakfast was excellent. Clean and good size rooms.

Well organised reception and good access to rooms incorporating sensible security features. Excellent lounge and bar with very good restaurent option. Good situation with lovely views. Good room specifications and an excellent breakfast service. Friendly and knowledgable staff and good room service. The hotel is very well situated and is immacuately decorated and presented.

The only difficulty that we experienced was with the waterproof plastic mattress cover on the beds. This had the unfortunate effect of increasing body temperature to very uncomfortable levels. The problem could easily be solved by placing an underblanket between the mattress cover and the fitted sheet.

A stylish city hotel with helpful friendly staff. Everything was perfect and we even had a beautiful chandelier in our room. We will definitely stay there again

the restaurant prices were exuberant and over priced, when we left the hotel day of departure the downstairs lounge was not open and there was no coffee available for early departure. apart from that the hotel is pure luxury.

Shame no food available except breakfast, but there are so many eateres in the vicinity it didn't spoil our stay.

As a couple who enjoy city breaks we found the Casselbergh amongst our favourite places to stay. Its position in the city is excellent to use as a base for exploring with a huge range of restaurants and bars within a stones throw. Those who enjoy culture can't fail to be enthralled with the amount of churches, squares and museums all within walking distance. The hotel itself was beautifully renovated with the main reception area and bar being very impressive. Our room was in the new wing of the hotel and so had mabye less architecture but all the same was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide choice and very friendly staff who were quick to serve you and always smiling.

After paying extra for a canal view room we were disappointed that we were unable to open any windows to be able to soak up the atmosthphere of the city. We also found the bed too soft and the fact that the double were two singles pushed together, but this may just be personal preference on our part.

The staff are very could with the customers, the services very bad, and the cleaners wake you up everymornig @ 9.am wonted to clean the room!.as we where in our honeymoon I dident apreciate the luck of interest to the matter as we told them.
