Hospitality, breakfast. Rooms were modern and well managed. And of course the mini bar. It was included in our rate!! ....mmmm....public transportaion..? We have to walk to the central station 10 mins away from the hotel with our luggages. |

Good breakfast. Hotel staff excellent at sorting out problems caused by Eurostar cancellations. Bedding was sheets / blankets rather than duvet, and these were too small for king-sized bed. |

The situation is nice and practical. The room was nice. The hotel kept for free the baggage after the checkout. We parked in the square just in front of, free in Sunday. Zone with a lot of chocolateries and very good ones. |

location, location, location!! this is the most beautiful square in Brussels could use some updating - slightly shabby feel; all meal services were cancelled during the time period we were there and we weren't aware ahead of time; shower temperature was difficult to regulate |

The cose'y warm environment of the hotel, the P.R. skills of the staff, the central easy access to railway station, shops, restaurants etc. Will book again with pleasure. Having booked the hotel on 02/11/09 it was stated that payment would be taken on arrival. Payment was taken out of my account on16/12/09,we were due to book in 23/12/09.What concerned me,was the payment was made payable to Jolly Hotels Fidelio. There was no reference No.or name Grand Sablon on my bank statement. Not knowing they were the same group at this point, it caused me anxiety, time & money on international phone calls between Edinburgh,London,Brussels & Madrid. Thinking my bank card had been cloned.This is an Administration Fault line. |

The hotel easily reached its four star rating from the entrance to the bedrooms and bathrooms -- very clean , tidy and stylish. Also very nicely situated within walking distance of Brussels Central Train Station and Grand Place but equally in a very nice square and area of its own. The Bar closed rather earlier than in any other (of many) hotels we have stayed in throughout Europe - and other Countries. |

when booking i requested a non smoking room, when i got to the hotel they didnt have any left, so i was forced to upgrade at a cost of €30 per night. i was furious. i am still livid. there was no apologies they just said tough!! now i was meant to be away with my wife for a christmas romantic mini break, what a terrible way to have to start with a row at check in. would not recommend this hotel to anyone based on the way i was treated so contemptly. |

Porters helpful and pleasant.The free internet point. No hot breakfast and not very good vfm. Lobby/lounge area changed since previous visits and no longer very relaxing. |

Location and competent reception staff. I selected this hotel because of past experience - I used to stay there frequently some years ago and liked it then but things have changed a lot since then. It used to be much better value for money. The room was very dark (courtyard and window facing a wall) and drab. They still charge a lot for use of Internet and breakfast - just like they did many years ago, but the standard has gone down since then. The hotel has obviously seen better times and needs refurbishing. The rebranding to NH seems to have had a negative impact on the standard. |

Our stay in this hotel was fantastic, the staff were very helpful from the moment we got there which made the stay much easier and much more enjoyable. Rooms were modern and comfortable. Breakfast was not your usual minimal selection, there was plenty to choose from and it was very good food. The location was perfect, in one of the nicer squares this city has, was only 2 minutes walk to the Grand Place, the perfect distance really, as any closer and it was way too busy. I would recommend this hotel to anybody, and, when we revisit Brussels, we will definitely re book this hotel!! |

The hotel provided almost everything we needed for our short stay in Brussels. We liked the location mostly as ti provided easy access to the markets etc.... We found no shower cap in our bathroom and would have liked a later breakfast at the weekend. |

Renovated new rooms, great location at the Grand Sablon Square. Front Desk not adequately equipped/staffed to provide service to business customers in the morning. For a long time, there was no one to help with finding a taxi. There is not a very welcoming lobby area. |

A welcoming, friendly, stylish hotel in a good location. Intelligently run. The computer with internet access in the lobby is a great asset. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but that was the only flaw. |

Location was very good. Even in the centre, it was in a quite calm neighbourhoud. They have renovated and and non renovated rooms. First room I was given was non renovated one, even having carpet! Which I really dislike. I asked for a more calm room (not given to the main street) and to my surprise, the second room was fully renovated, much more bigger and with a beautiful decoration. I enjoyed staying at that room very much. |
