Hans and his wife provide a very friendly and comfortable facility. From the time we arrived they were thoughtful and provided us with local maps and directions to the best sites in Bruges. We had a gorgeous room with huge spa bath and fully stocked mini-bar. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of foods, meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, yoghurts and cereals and delicious warm breads. There are local restaurants and a friendly bar. Town is just short bus trip away so no need to drive once you have arrived. We would have liked the facility to make a hot drink E.G. tea or coffee in the room. While we had a mini-bar and a bottle of wine there was no tea!

A friendly welcome with an enthuasism to share the delights of Bruges with their guests, recommending what we saw what was best in the city in a short time. The included breakfast was very good, unlike some a lot of choice and attentive service. The real bonus was their private off street parking a short walk from the town.

We enjoyed the beds which were firm. The triple room under the eaves was spacious and the rooms were separate with some privacy. Hans was helpful with looking up information for us on places to visit. The breakfast was plentiful and provided in a scenic winter garden.

Room layout was very good, and breakfast was excellent. Though it was slightly more expensive than some downtown hotels, having breakfast and parking included more than made up the difference, one of the reasons we chose this hotel. The staff was friendly and knowledgable, and restaurants were in the immediate vicinity for lunch/dinner. Less than a mile to the heart of downtown and a grocery store right around the corner made everything convenient. We also happened to be in luck, because that Sunday, the side street the hotel sits on was blocked off for a yard sale/flea market; lots of vendors and it was very interesting looking through the used items to find treasures. Nothing that could be changed, unfortunately. We had a 5-person room on the top floor, and the stairs to that level were tiny, narrow, and steep. Just a warning that it might be difficult for an older person or those with physical problems.

The ease of walking into the city center of Brugge (20minutes max)Parking at the hotel is free and well spaced out. The breakfast could be better for the price of the accomadation, and the downstair area needs a good tidy up and a face lift to bring into line with the bedrooms

Hans was a very helpful and friendly host, welcoming on arrival, gave us a map and showed us where to get a boat around bruge. We only stayed for 1 night and had limited time as we were on the way back from south belgium to catch the ferry the next day,so the close location with secure onsite parking was very good.Very nice buffet breakfast too.

This is a wonderful family run hotel. The family could not be nicer! Their small hotel is beautiful and only a 15 minute walk into the center of Brugge. Being just outside the main historic area allows for parking which was very helpful to us. Angelina gave us a map and overview as soon was got there so we were immediately able to start exploring. A gem! No negatives.

Me and my wife had wonderful time at hotel, in special due to Angeline and Hans, the owners, that let us feel like we were at home, Both very kind, explaining everything about the beautiful city. The breakfast really good too. The hotel is amazing, and exectly what we were looking for. Not expensive, but with a large bedroom. With good furnitures and very very nice. We would come back, certainly

A family-run hotel situated in a surprisingly verdant large garden, just outside the Bruges old town. The staff were very helpful, particularly at the beginning, with local information. Even better, they then stayed in the background for the rest of the stay unless one wanted their help. The interior was a little cluttered but this may be a Bruges trait as other places were the same. There were rather too many dog-eared and out-of-date magazines etc in the communal area which need throwing away! Our bathroom had a rather over-complicated bath and shower, but once mastered, had plentiful hot water with good pressure.

The hospitality of the hosts. Good breakfast. Too big price for a two-star room in a two-star hotel. There was no Wi-Fi in the room at all. Some of the towels were dirty. Strange not pleasant smell in the room. Windows were only in the roof... we felt ourselves in prison.) We wanted to leave it right away but the owner warned us that all the same he will charge off the credit card. We understand him and are very sorry for the situation but the hotel didn't come up to any our expectations.

“I was travelling with two young children. Owner was very pleasant and helpful. We had a good size room for 3 plus a great bathroom. There is a small lift, thus no problem with bringing bags upstairs. Decor was very pleasant and room was clean. We had a back room so there was no traffic noise. There was free access to a computer for browsing the internet. There was parking available close to the hotel (for a fee).” Robert, Fareham |
