location to airport staff not flexible. unlimited free internet in lobby restricted to only 1hr. bathtub has mold in corner near taps. very small amounts of coffee,only 1 tea bag ,little sugar and coffee. ironing room is actually a stairs hallway corner got there early in a.m but had to wait till 2 p.m to check in ;or pay extra even though planned departure was by 7.30 a.m next day a.m ride to airport was not flexible to a 1/2 hr early departure . the 8 a.m pick up was late leaving as well

Nice restaurant and public areas When I arrived in my room, I went to the toilet. The door handle fell off in my hand and it took 15 minutes to get out the bathroom. When I told reception, they said "oh" (no apology), offered me another room half the size. When having a shower in this new room, covered in soap, the shower bracket fell off, dropping the shower onto my head. For 120 Euros without breakfast I expect better. Very poor, won't be staying there again....

Short distance from the airport. Free shuttle service from the hotel to the airport. Staff attitude. No clear indication of shuttle service from the airport to the hotel.

Friendly staff. Good breakfast. The restaurant still wasn't open for dinner after the Christmas and New Year holiday. When it is open the food is good but the choice limited

Despite ordering a taxi the night before, it arrived 20mins late and the taxi driver told me that the hotel had only called 10mins prior to the taxi turning up. Unlike the other hotels, you have to call to request an airport transfer and then wait 10mins for the driver to arrive. Worth knowing beforehand to save wasting 30mins trying to find a way to the hotel (no taxi would take me the short distance)

It is ideal since it is clo.se to the airport and the conference center I have booked two nights starting on 24th October till 26th October. However on returning back from the conference on Thursday 25th October, the hotel receptionist told me that they are closing the hotel. I was told to pack all my belongings and to go to the NH Hotel. I was very upset especially after a long day at a conference I was planning to rest in my room. I have asked at least to bring a taxi for me after this which was not my fault, but they refused, so I had to walk in the rain. I expect that a form of a refund to be paid for this bad practice.

I called for a shuttle at 4:30 was picked up an hour and a half later after having people st airport call three times each time I was told oh he will be here in 10 minutes zThat was awful! The hotel when I got there was fine.

The distance to the airport is good and a busstop taking you to the airport within 5 minutes walking distance Internet was only free for an hour and there were no eating facilities in the hotel,that was a downer

They didn't charge the non-refundable room rate after their receptionist couldn't find my booking and screamed at me, that was the only positive thing. Booking.com customer service staff was very helpful. I lived in Brussels for the last 5 years. There are a bunch of hotels in Diegem area, in the middle of nowhere, that you may use only if you have a flight overnight. Taxis to Brussels city center are expensive and there are no transport links in this area, nothing to eat, nothing to see. Literally suburbs. This is not particular for Thon Hotel. My experience: I parked in the car park and walked to the reception which looked pretty OK. The receptionist - a lady in late 40's, asked for my name, I gave my Belgian ID card, and she threw it back to me claiming it is too small and she can't read! Apparently her eyesight and lack of glasses were both my fault. I wrote my name with big letters. She couldn't find the reservation. I showed the confirmation on my blackberry (which she couldn't read of course) and she claimed it is not a confirmation. She told me to wait (all the time incredibly aggressively and raising her voice), I said if the booking didn't arrive to their system in 8 hours, what good will come out of waiting (the time was 3 PM btw). When I attempted to call booking.com, she called somewhere trying to locate my booking. And somehow she again started screaming at me, and believe me I am Mediterranean, I know the difference between talking excitedly and rudely screaming at someone. It was terrible overall, I asked the other clerk who was silent all the time, terrified of the lady I presume to let me out of the car park and I drove off. I paid 15 Euro more and had a perfectly civilized treatment in a hotel next door and my booking was in their system in 10 minutes. I stay 300 days a year in hotels due to my job, I have never had an experience which is less than pleasant, I am extremely polite with staff, but the treatment I got in this hotel was unacceptable by any standards. I am not saying don't stay in this hotel - Thon Hotels should sort their booking system and immediately put that lady in back office where she will never ever face any clients!

I booked this hotel because they advertised a free shuttle service to the airport. The hotel doesn't have a free shuttle service to the airport on weekends contrary to their homepage and to booking.com description. So I had to pay an extra 20eur for a taxi to take me to the airport.

Proximity to airport and price were my main reasons for choosing the Thon hotel. Dinner at nearby Holiday Inn was very good, as was the breakfast at the Thon the following morning, though a bit pricey. Room was clean and comfortable, though bed was rather mushy. Staff was friendly, responsive, and spoke English. Overall experience was very positive. Only problem was the bathroom light, which was difficult to turn off. Switch clearly needed some repair work.

Location and price. Restaurant was closed for evening meals so we had to walk to another nearby hotel with a functioning restaurant; no shuttle on weekends (substituted on weekends by taxi vouchers for which we had to pay); breakfast on Sunday did not begin before 7:30, which was awkward for us because we had a morning flight to catch. I'd be willing to pay more for a hotel with shuttle service, an operational restaurant, and a breakfast at an earlier hour.

Location, very clean room and bathroom, excellent value for the price. Wake up call didn't come, and promised taxi was not delivered. Still a ten Euro ride to the airport.

Convenient for the airport and local business park My colleague and I had a meal which we charged to our rooms. However on returing home we both discovered that the hotel had charged us both for full price of the meal rather than splitting the bill in half. I am currently discussing this with the hotel and hope to get a refund.
