Due to its location we've used the hotel as the basis for trips to Ghent, Brugge and Bruxelles. Staff is very professional, check-in and check-out have been done in seconds. Plenty of space for low-cost (7 PM - 9 AM) parking in city underground public parking places. Additional bed is the same size as the "original" one. Mechelen is nice place to visit and stay: do not forget to go to bar "Stuffed", where the staff can present you local beers, the city and the country...

Really good three star hotel with a lot of facilities and decent breakfast in the town center very close to all main touristic attractions. Interactive TV, large selection of movies e.t.c. There was no toilet brush in the bathroom.....

We were staying here as a group whilst attending a gymnastics competition nearby, the location was perfect and right in the heart of a beautiful city. The staff were very attentive and helped with some issues not relating to the hotel whilst there translating for us. As a coeliac I was delighted to see gluten free bread available at breakfast and the breakfast overall was very good. Rooms were very clean. Definitely go back! The only thing I could say is that the free wifi in the rooms was a bit temperamental and kept disconnecting.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms large and clean with choice of pillows on bed. Hotel central to amenitiesband easy to find. Had to pay 16 euros a night to park hire car would have liked free parking in hotel price

Clean and centrally located. Overpriced. The rooms are on the small side and very functional (think IBIS style). Parking in the underground garage is secure (note height restriction!), but very limited in terms of the number of spaces available.

Confortable, clean, quiet, nice and helpfull stuff. Was very nice to stay in this hotel!!! Breakfast was nice too, for my taste. Being a traveler, I recomend and next time I stay again for sure!!! ----- It's near the Nekkerspoel train station but the majority of the trains don't stop there, only the regional trains. However the Mechelen main train station is easily reached. By foot, I took 20 minutes, including taking pictures during the walk along a nice route full of historic buildings. Also, there's a bus (number 1) who runs very frequently between the two train stations and stops really close to the hotel.

It was comfortable, functional, clean, warm. The staff were extremely helpful. We knew what to expect - HI are all the same. The free breakfast was useful. The location good and the underground parking a real bonus in a city which does not cater for cars. It was budget yet professional - all that we wanted for this particular trip. The rooms are quite small and basic - so not for long term stay.

The friendly staff are always very helpfull. The location is perfect for shopping,museums,restaurants.Public transport is just outside the hotel and very good. Aircon noisy. Breadrolls have been frozen not so fresh.

The hotel and its facilities were very good, Staff were very polite and helpful. I booked 5 twin rooms in October 2011 for our weekend in September 2012 and was disapointed that there were only 4 twin and 1 double when we arrived, none of the party were married just good friends and it could have been very aukward, the hotel was fully booked and nothing could be done I had to share a double bed. I feel this is very bad as I did book this in october last year for a holiday nearly a year later and feel that I had booked well in advance to guarentee twin beds. I will be contacting the hotel about this.

The room was clean and the hotel was centrally located, the free breakfast was also good and had a varied selection. The parking charge for an overnight stay was 16 Euros which is very excessive. It is disappointing that this hotel did not offer any food option in the evening apart from a limited choice of sandwiches.

The staff are very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is right in the centre of the town and only a short walk away from all the shops,restaurants,cathedral,townhall etc... Unable to switch off the aircondition at night, it keeps coming on all the time and is noisy.

Very nice, clean, orientated hotel. Perfect breakfast, helpfull staff. Mechelen is great town o see and travel around to Gent, Antwerpen, Brusel...Very recomended to stay there!!!
