Good value for the money. Hotel changes currently hands 9as of April 2012) and it was very confusing and hard to find it; we were looking for the Alliance Hotel but it is still signed as a Holiday Inn brand.

The breakfast was excellent. We did not expect hot food (eggs and bacon!) and this was a bonus. This is a Holday Inn Express hotel according to the signs outside. We spent an unnecessary 20 minutes driving around the arfea lookng for an 'Alliance' hotel.... Confusing - Booking.com should make it clear.

The 2 ladies in reception were very helpful. The hotel is a glorified out of town prison block. It is extremely dated and probably has not been refurbished in 30 years. The rooms are very small with very basic facilities. Heating control in the room is very tedious. You will freeze while the heater kicks in.

The only reason for chosing this hotel was the price, with good offers for the city center non-existing (and this with booking ~1 month in advance !) Generally the place was what you should expect from this chain - although the particular hotel a bit being on the run-down side, however the expected facilities were provided. For the non-central hotel the location turned out to be much better than I had thought - few minutes walk from metro station and ~20 min metro ride to the center. The metro system is also frequent and efficient (the largest problem that it runs only raughly until midnight, so you have some restrictions for nightlife activities :) The hotel is in quite and nice area (however with no obvious entertainment options around) and a seems to be partially catering for groups of Asian tourists (which is ok as long as you don't need to take elevator at the time the whole group is arriving or leaving :) The price was decent for the chain (~90 euro/night) and for options in Brussels at that time. Will not look for this hotel if reasonably priced central options will be available, but otherwise I am ready to consider this option again. The price they are sking for wifi (close to 5 euros/hour) is simply ridiculous. Room service was a bit lousy - during 6 nights stay shampoo was never replaced (although their liquid soap was probably better :) and on the second day they have managed to break one of the wall lamps over the bed (and of course nothing was done to replace it). The reservation via this website included breakfast for the same rate the direct booking to hotel did not; however you don't get any priority club points (so, depends who is paying for your stay...)

Location - Just around the corner from Mini Europe. Hotel staff was incredibly nice and helpful. When asking for a map, staff member gave me several resources and explained how to get to good restaurants and tourist spots in the area. Great buffet breakfast. Parking available on location. Free WiFi in the bar which was offered in each room for a low price. Small rooms but we only needed it for sleeping so not too bad.

Value and location We do not like quilts on the beds. Bring back sheets and blankets so we can decide just how hot or cool we want to be in bed! Everyone sleeps at a different optimum temperature. I for one hate being too hot and with a quilt it is all or nothing! We like to self regulate our bed covers. How about it? = a selection of blankets.

+ Good breakfast, possible to make coffe/tea at room, close to Antomium, MiniEurope and exibitions (Expo) that was propose of our travel, close to metro/tram (takes just 20 min to the center of Brussel), nice garden, not noisy at all - Small room (but with a place for one more madrass on the floor), no fridge at room, guite long distance to the nearest food shop, but there are veriety of conditories and pubs in 15 min walk), no information about the city at the reseption.

Good location within easy access from main roads, good value for money -- had all the things we needed and none we didn't at a reasonable price. Had kettle to make tea or coffee, which is not common on the continent and was much appreciated.
