Very welcoming dining and breakfast room. Breakfast was excellent. did not have an opportunity to try the restaurant as we stayed on their night off (Monday)

The location is very central in Veurne. The hotel is pleasant and the rooms are spacious.

We have stayed here once before and had an excellent stay, however this was not our experience this time. We actually stayed in the same room on both occassions, this last visit I actually drew patterns in the dust on the lamp stands and bedside tables. On the morning of departure the restaurant was not open at 7.30 as advertised, after calling the hotel from an outside line the reception was manned to allow us to pay our bill, minus the breakfast charge. Staff did not seem concerned that we had been kept waiting and then had to leave without any sustenance. In view of this we will not be returning to this hotel, despite it being several doors away form our son's home.

I had seen this hotel several times when visiting Veurne, and it always looked lovely, so we decided to book it for a pre Christmas shopping trip. The hotel was closed up when we arrived. After waiting 20 minutes in the driving rain, I found a phone number to call and explained we were outside. A man turned up and let us in. He did not apologise. We were the only guests. Apparently some renovation work was being carried out, hence the bar and restaurant were closed. Secure parking was not offered so my car had to be left in the street. The hotel was cold and gloomy. The full bill was presented to me the next morning, but only after I complained about the situation and complete absence of facilities was the charge waived. What a big disappointment the Croonhof turned out to be. Ruined the whole break for us.

The Croonhof is a three star rated, well established hotel, over many years. After all this time any problems, if there were any, have been resolved long ago. I immediately liked the photographs on the booking website and we were not disappointed when we saw the real thing. The proprieters are very helpful and speak good English. The breakfast was perfect and the setting lovely. A lot of thought has gone into the design and decor. Yes it was a nice experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, The room was comfortable, clean & roomy. The restaurant was excellent, The staff were most welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Very noisy all night , No air con the fan in the room was broken and vibrated violently . And no cooked breakfast !

The hotel was ideally placed in a pretty square, lots of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Hotel staff were very pleasant and polite and we enjoyed a very nice breakfast included in the price.

The room was a bit small and the bed was in need of a new mattress, although it was fine for an over night stay.

The hotel is nicely situated in the centre of Veurne. This gave us the chance to have a couple of beers in a nice cafe. It also offers a garage, which was very important because we had a full car. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom very comfortable as well.

Breakfast was quite poor, as related to the price of the hotel (100 euros/night). There is no free Wi-Fi in the rooms. In the reception you get access to internet, which is ok but still I would prefer it in the room as well.

OK but we had a very small room.

The owners were very friendly and provided us with a lot of information regarding the city. It was nice to learn that the famous Belgian artist Paul Delvaux (his museum is just 5 km from Veurne) dined frequently at Croonhof with family. The pictures of him there are great!

Hotel was actually closed when we arrived at 2pm. Message left on locked front door saying in Flemish and French that the hotel was due to open on the 30th June. A number to call in Belgium was provided. We had reserved for the 29th June. Despite being a beautiful old building the owners had managed to strip the rooms of all character rendering it similar to a Travel Lodge in quality and style.

Great hotel very accommodating staff ideal location

The location just off the "grand place". Our room was peaceful, light and with good views of the towers of the church and town hall. The bathroom was well equipped and very clean and attractive. The breakfast was varied and excellent as was the service.

The rooms were large. They have a bar and restaurant downstairs. Great location within Veurne The price was very resonable

Hôtel situé au centre d’une ville pittoresque par son architecture flamande. Excellent petit déjeuner servi par le personnel très accueillant, même le lundi, jour de fermeture.

Accueil chaleureux Buffet petit déjeuner agréable Service très convivial .Chambre correcte .

L'extracteur dans la salle de bain ne fonctionne pas , buée .... Qui crée aussi ,des problèmes pour les toilettes . Le plafonnier n'est pas en sécurité (ouvert)

Kamer te klein voor twee personen. Slechte matras. Ongeïnteresseerd personeel. Te lawaaiierig hotel. Veel te duur voor de kwaliteit.

Het ontbijt was goed, maar ook niet meer dan dit.

De ontvangst bij aankomst en vertrek : Allesbehalve vriendelijk. De kamer was Nr 18 : vuil, de tapisplain was overal besmeurd. Het bed was veel te smal. De badkamer : geen thermostatische kraan. Er was zelfs een gat in de muur. De prijs van 96 euro stemt niet overeen met wat je hiervoor krijgt. Boertige ontvangst !!!!

Trés calme Belle situation pas loin de la mer. Veurne resemble a Brugge mais en plus petite avec une trés jolie place.
