We have stayed at the Leonardo many times in the last 7 years when we visit Bruges. We feel it is contemporary, cosy, extremely friendly staff and value for money. Have not considered another hotel. A reduced rate taxi into the centre is well worth using. Over the years it has become slightly shabby, a lick of paint would improve the look, and the leather- look sofas and chairs in reception have worn to the canvas. However, we still like it!

The staff were excellent and location and price good and how clean the hotel is Lack of communication, not informing us that on two of the four nights stay that the restaurant was fully booked and we therefore had to have a bar snack after a whole day out, no tea or coffee making equipment in the room until the following day, not as good as first time we stayed appeared to be overbooked, staff over stretched, but saying that the staff were superb and helpful, generally a little disappointed with experience

The place is good to take the bike, as there is a nice runway for bikes to the city. The shower was instable with temperature changes all the time. The atitude of most employees was bad.

Very nice, comfortable and what's important very clean hotel. Nice and afordable food. I don't know if it is normal, but I was charged "city tax" upon check in I was asked for 8euro city tax and upon check out for another 2euro, although everything was paid during the booking process. Is it normal this "city tax"?

Good location for access to and from the e40 The manager closed the restaurant as not many at hotel and they didn't tell me on arrival. This hotel is not within walking distance to anywhere and it was snowing very heavily. Only offered sandwich type food at bar which I couldn’t eat as I am gluten intolerant. Provided my own bread and was made a sandwich and was charged full price for it. Not good customer service and receptionist on checkout very unhelpful and rude.

Location and gardens. Rooms were quiet and dark. Some staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. Room was not cleaned properly from last occupant (Dirty underwear was found in one corner of the room.) Shower was impossible to use due to the change in temperature. I set the temperature mid-way, however the water changed back and forth from freezing cold to scolding hot.

It was a very good location and only 5km into the centre of Bruges. It was modern, clean and comfortable. The rooms are large and with tea/coffee making facilities. Large bath with toiletries provided. Free parking. Definatley would go back No fridge in room, although there was a cupboard with a fridge sign on it.

Close enough to Brugge but in nice wooded location, with FREE parking and a simple short drive to centre! The food is exceptional for this standard of hotel if a rather limited menu (better a limited menu done well than bigger menu done poorly!!). Free WiFi in reception/bar area No fridge in room (there was a marked cupboard for one but it was empty! No free WiFi in room!

Clean, modern, spacious, good service I booked specifically saying that I will bring a dog. Unfortunately, most hotels do not tell you that dogs are not allowed in their restaurants and how much they charge. This hotel charged 15 euros for one night for my dog. I though that was excessive - to say the least. My dog was also not allowed in the restaurant. I believe that such information must be made clear on their website. At the moment, it is a bit tricky to access due to roadworks.

Despite its proximity to the e40 it was quiet and peaceful. As long as you are mobile then getting into Bruges itself is easy - sort of - the roadworks make a mess of sat nav; travelling by motorcycle I was able to cheat by using the e40 pedestrian crossing as did all the other locals. Walking into Bruges is possible if you are ok with a 12 km/7 mile round trip or a 1.6km/1 mile walk to a bus stop into St Michelis. The bar was expensive - a walk into Loppem (about 3km/2 miles) put the prices into context, around half the cost at Leonardo. I don't mind paying the hotels prices, but the point of getting away from home is to experience the everyday pleasures of where I am staying, not to have a holoday in a hotel that could be anywhere. My biggest gripe was cleaning staff ignoring the 'do not disturb' sign and moved and interfered with my things. Not impressed to be honest
