Score from 7488 reviews Very good
hotel was lovely, room was lovely as was the bathroom. Very up to date and clean. Location wasn't great but the front doors remained locked so felt safe.
At 0800 hours, cleaner knocked and came into room. Only stayed one night so didn't expect to see cleaner. At 0900 hours, Engineer came in to do some checks of the room... Wasn't happy about this, expect this to be done when the room is vacant and not be interrupted
Decor was bright, pleasing and modern. Security of entrance and access to rooms was good. The breakfast offered a wide choice and was sufficient for our needs.
Slow check in with only one member of staff at a busy time.
Room was comfortable, city center within a 20 min walk, 2 min from Brussels midi.
There are better locations if you want to be near attractions or in a nice neighborhood, but it is practical if you are taking the Eurostar. A bit pricy for what it offers. Wi-fi was not working inside the room.
Comfortable, clean, nice decor, quite, everything worked, catle and tea available, good location, you can come here straight from the airport, metro, shops on the station, some places to eat around, many other hotels nearby
Vibrations with night-shift staff were not good enough, it made contrast to day-shift staff which was very helpful; moderate flexibility about what you have listed in your final bill; breakfast is too expensive comparing to what you have served(only basic things); card or deposit is required; although it is not far away from train/metro station midi, without very precise map it would be hard to find right direction (area is very dense and a sense of a good orientation is required); some problem with WI-FI (I had to asked to reboot the server); no gym; rather compact hotel
Location close to train station Midi.
Tobacco smell in the corridor, but in the room ok.
Annoyingly bad wifi signal, stuff is trying but not very knowledgeable about city and places.
Proximity to midi station
The room was dirty. Some food seemed to have been thrown on the wall but never properly cleaned. The bathroom has a red light (why!?). Will not return.
Wifi is poor. Need to be in the bathroom to use it.
room comfort TV channels in french
no restaurant very ugly location very bad service very poor and classic breakfast
The hotel was very clean and the staff was pleasant. The beds were comfortable and the room was a good size. Although limited, there was on site parking. Although we didn't use public transportation, there was a train station directly across the street. And there was a huge market on Sunday directly across the street.
The neighborhood is not the best. There were limited places open to eat in the area at lunch time. You need a key card to go up or down in the elevator, so if you leave your car in the garage after checkout you have to be escorted down. Also the bathrooms are not in the lobby, they are downstairs and you need a key to open the door. You are unable to stop and use the facilities on the way in or out of the car park without this key. If you already need a key to get to this area, it seems silly to require another key to open the door for the toilet.
Elderly Lady's polite behaviour to serve me bfast even after 1010hrs
Toilet open to air. Facing big building on the Opp side. Bathtub small less space. Reception staffs not so friendly and seems to rude less informed about local info. Despite of requesting twice room has not been cleaned! Wc is not cleaned from inside
Reception staff v helpfull
Good location, newly renovated, very clean.
Wifi was not working. It is said to be repaired after we leave.
Great breakfast Staff friendly and helpful
Good location which is right next to the train station. Room is big and clean. My room has a nice view at the street.
The WiFi connection is very poor. The connection drops easily and even if you are connected the speed is extremely slow which is unusable. It is a problem for me because I need to search online for directions.
Location near Brussels midi
Staff did not speak any Dutch and were not very friendly.
Just 3 minute walk to Brussels Midi station which is the international train station. It is a good location to us who just stayed for 2 days, and that we had to catch early international train carrying with us heavy baggage. Good deal for money too.
The air-con system in the room was not switched on. We had to call the reception on first day asking them to turn it on. Then it automatically turned off again during our sleep. On the second day we had to call again asking them to turn it on.
The rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. Location is ok, although it is close to the metro station, you have to change lanes in order to get to the city center. Breakfast was good.
Room was nice, clean. Soundproofed so railway traffic directly across the street was not a distraction. Duvet on bed was too warm -- not conducive to comfortable sleeping unless a/c was set very low.
Located in a sketchy area. Did not feel safe outside the hotel. Long walk to the Grand Place, but doable. Parking area was difficult to enter and exit -- underground garage entrance/exit was very, very steep and narrow. Parking cost was 10 Euros per day -- not unreasonable since one would not want to have to park on the streets in this area.
I stayed at this hotel about a year ago when it was called the Cascade Midi. Since then it has morphed into a Novotel, but seems pretty much unchanged internally. Comfortable, soundproofed room. Good breakfast buffet. Good location when traveling by train via Brussels Midi.
Rather dubious neighbourhood...
Modern, clean and quiet room. Very good bed and shower. Professional and friendy staff. Reception area clearly upgraded after rebranding from Cascade to Novotel.
No wifi connectivity.
Very comfortable beds, conveniently close to the train station. Good quality room.
Wifi connection could have been better, some problems connecting at first but it worked in some parts of my room 30 mins later.
Efficient staff Clean
Some of the strange characters frequenting the street outside.
Lovely, polite reception staff Free internet and wifi Massive Room So close to the main station - perfect!
Slightly dirty bathroom Pillows way too soft - needed three and still felt as I was sleeping on the mattress only No pay movies on TV
