The staff were wecoming, friendly and helpful. Their recommendation for a tour was excellent. The room was spotless and as a bonus we were allowed a bit of flexibility at both check in and check out. Highly recommended.

Location is very close to Grand Place. Room (a double for single use) was a good size. I was able to borrow an adapter for my electronics during my stay. Reception not staffed all the time, sometimes took a couple of presses on the Bell to bring someone to the front. The (included) breakfast was appreciated, but I wish they had a toaster for the bread. **As a side note, if you come here via city bus from the Bruges train station, it's a good idea toshow a paper with the stop "Vismarkt" written on it to the bus driver and ask if he can let you know/motion to you where to get off. The cobblestoned streets make for a terribly bumpy ride on the bus, and the buses have no spots for suitcases--you'll have to stand in the aisle or at the back.

The location of the hotel was fantastic - 5 minutes from the main square and shops, as well as a landing station for the canal cruises. On checking in I was shown on a city map the location of two restaurants - both of which were excellent. The staff were friendly and spoke perfect English, and there was a small lift to take lazy people (me!) to the third floor. The room was clean, quiet and with good views over the rooftops. Breakfast in the morning was self-service but more than adequate, and overall the hotel represented good value for money.

Helpful friendly staff. We were able to check in to our room at 10.30 am, very useful when arriving on overnight ferry. Although there were no tea making facilities in the room they willingly provided us with a teapot of hot water to make our own peppermint tea. Fabulous breakfast, continental style.

It's perfectly located in the center of old city nice cozy hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast (best fruit salad according to my experience). We like atmosphere and design of this hotel, I'll advise this place to all my friends. Just be prepared that it's really old building and you can hear the steps of your neighbors if they are a bit heavy :)

Andy the manager of the hotel went out of his way to make sure our stay was excellent. He booked dinner reservations, provided information and maps on where to eat, drink and shop. The breakfast was great and he even packed us a to go box because our train was an early morning 6:25am departure. I would definitely come back to this hotel!!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a very convenient location. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable but could have done with some redecorating. The bathroom was showing a bit of wear and tear.

Amazing place! Excellent by all means! wonderful staff, very pleasant, helpful, polite and so on. beautiful hotel, so pretty hall with decorations. We had a very nice room with two large double-beds and a nice bathroom with real hot water and even dental / shaving sets! The heater is powerful!!))) we managed to dry all the coats and jeans after the rain – just in one hour. The hotel is in 4 minutes from the very center! And we could come for rest any time! The big plus for our family - was the lift! My old parents had no problem with the room at the 2 floor. It took us 20 minutes to walk from the railway station. And we all want to thank the staff for the breakfasts – they were perfect! Wide variety of snacks for sandwiches – peanut-butter, choco, jam, cheeses, ham and salami; hot eggs, flakes, cold and hot drinks, fresh hot baking. My 4 year old son enjoyed it not less, than my 68 y.o. parents! Our days in Botaniek were perfect! We shall surely advise Botaniek to all our friends, and we hope to come back not once!

Decent if somewhat standard breakfast. Good location near the heart of everything but just outside the busiest zone. I'd say this is a two-star hotel. Lots of rot and condensation from humidity in the bathroom - would recommend installing proper bathroom fans.

Good administration, nice fresh breakfast, good location. During our stay (7 nights) nobody cleaned bathroom and didn't clean the carpet in the room, didn't change soap and other bathing things - not clean. Handmade furniture is not nice, different and old hangers in garderobe and open lamps in bed.

It was very well placed, in a quiet location, close to the main square and all the sights, shopping, bars and restaurants. The continental breakfast was very nice with a good selection but nothing to toast the bread in - not that we were too bothered about that. Very nice hotel. Slightly in need of a refurbishment in places.
