Hotel Cathedrale  

Needs a complete renovation, and some friednly, motivated staff

Location was good in relation to the city

Used towels stayed outside the room (and all other rooms on that floor) from Wednesday - when I arrived until Thursday - when I checked out. Empty beer bottles still not collected over the same period.

Good location in Tournai

Very difficult access to the hotel, reception staff was not helpful in explaining the way, and forgot to make wake up calls for the three of us the next morning!

Only good thing was that the breakfast was REASONABLE in variety but variable in quality.

Supposedly non-smoking hotel but strong smoke smell throughout. Poor response from staff when smoking queried. Many things didn't work - some poor decoration. Very poor and seedy run down area. Not pleasant. Only OK as there were 4 of us. Would not stay as a single person. Even hotel staff did not understand the parking system outside their hotel and we wasted over 2 hours trying to pay the parking bill.

Very close to bars, resturants, river, shopping and Cathedral - excellent location

A little tatty around the edges.

The location is the biggest plus factor ~ right in the centre of the old city. Breakfast was very good.

Unfortunately my room was very small and the bathroom was small and tired although perfectly clean. I was expecting much better given the standard room rates. It would not stand comparison with small French hotels which I have stayed in recently. The hotel has no public space other than the restaurant area.

Vriendelijk onthaal, ideaal gelegen.

Onze kamer aan voorkant gelegen, 2 nachten bijna niet geslapen van het lawaai.Place St.Pierre uitgansbuurt!!!!Veel dronken jeugd. Uitgebreid ontbijt,maar waarom toch geen lekker vers Belgisch brood en verse broodje?Broodjes afgebakken in oven.

Endroit calme , avec parking public payant journée tout proche

Chambre située près du système électrique de l' ascenceur, trop bruyant. Très désagréable pour la nuit, car fonctionne souvent... Cette chambre devrait être louée en dernier et ce n'était pas le cas pour nous

Personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam en ontbijt ok.

Hotel was heel moeilijk te bereiken, alle wegen ernaar toe waren opgebroken of afgesloten met éénrichtingsborden. Kamers waren klein, oud en muffig en de badkamer was zeker aan vernieuwing toe geschimmelde siliconen randen , kapotte tegels maakten een smerige indruk en het duurde meer dan 5 minuten eer je warm water had.Snachts werd je wakker van het lawaai buiten.
