Hotel Cathedrale  

The breakfast buffet was varied and tasted well! We got a bathroom with bathtub, as asked.

Our room was a bit old-fashioned and located next to the elevator engine. We didn't really mind, but for other people it will be a nuisance.

Excellent in every respect. Parking right by the hotel. Road works and road closures make actullay getting to the hotel by car a bit tricky!

I arrived in the morning (from a trans-Atlantic overnight flight). The staff found a room that was ready so I could check in right away and sleep, instead of waiting for the normal check-in time (3pm). I got a room on the top floor in the back (as requested) and it was very quiet. The breakfast buffet was good and varied. Free WiFi. This is a nice, older hotel.

Quality / Price ratio not so good, that is the quality of Hotel is not so good respect to theprice paid.

Location was good in relation to the city

Used towels stayed outside the room (and all other rooms on that floor) from Wednesday - when I arrived until Thursday - when I checked out. Empty beer bottles still not collected over the same period.

Good location in Tournai

Very difficult access to the hotel, reception staff was not helpful in explaining the way, and forgot to make wake up calls for the three of us the next morning!

Difficult to locate

The location is the biggest plus factor ~ right in the centre of the old city. Breakfast was very good.

Unfortunately my room was very small and the bathroom was small and tired although perfectly clean. I was expecting much better given the standard room rates. It would not stand comparison with small French hotels which I have stayed in recently. The hotel has no public space other than the restaurant area.

Wij gingen voor het accordeonfestival en lagen er middenin ! Erg gemakkelijk ! In de vroege uurtjes was het - althans in de kamers een de tuinzijde - ook geen probleem om nachtlawaai buiten te houden.

Spijtig dat om 9.15 uur zowel de gekookte als de gebakken eitjes al op waren !

L'hotel est extrêmement vétuste : moquette vieille et sale, chambres minuscules, très mauvais couchage, pas de chauffage dans la salle de bain, ampoules grillées, la réserve de savon vide... Le petit déjeuner est à la hauteur de la qualité de l'hotel : thé rance, jus d'orange à base de concentré très dilué, vieilles croutes de fromage. Bref, plus jamais!!!!
