Good location at heart of Ghent. A lot of mosquite were at my room. Cost of breakfast was too expensive 20Euro.

The hotel was situated in an good location for seeing Ghent. The breakfast was excellent - a little expensive but if you have a hearty appetite there was certainly much on offer. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was beginning to look a little tired as were the pillows.

Close to city centre. We had to wait long in front of the desk for check in and checkout The rooms were not ready at 14:30 when we arrived the sound isolation is poor and you literally hear everything upstairs and in teh corridor, which takes away the feeling of privacy like if your door is wide open.

Staff were helpful and efficient. Room was comfortable and a good size for a city centre hotel. Building itself was just that little bit quirky and interesting. Good location. Very good breakfast No tea/coffee making facility

The hotel was superbly located and my interactions with the staff were always excellent, due to their pleasant and helpful disposition. The breakfast was varied and of a good standard. I would happily stay there again.

The room was spacious and comfortable and clean. Staff was helpful and polite. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance towards the old city but at the same time on a peaceful and quiet side street.

Loved the breakfast, it was one of the best that we have ever had. The location was super and the staff friendly and helpful. The pillows were comfortable and the bed average. The only thing was that the room we had was a bit tired and the AC/Heater did not work.

It was a good standard hotel close to the heart of the city. The "double bed" is not suitable whatever for a couple hoping to have a romantic weekend in that it is made up of two unrestrained single mattresses which instantly drift apart as soon as one party tries to move close to the other party. This partly ruined our weekend. When checking out we were billed for a breakfast that we did not have. Such an unfounded assumption also gave a very bad impression of the integrity the hotel's accounting system. On the Saturday night, some other guests were talking loudly at tables in the courtyard until very late. Even though our door and windows were closed, it sounded like they were in the room with us. Very poor sound-proofing.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfectly situated within walking distance of canal side shops and restaurants. Our room had a loft with amazing window views. The mosquitoes kept me up all night.

We are mature couple on a few days break with friends, the location of the hotel was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable and roomy with a very nice ensuite shower room. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Next time we are in Gent we will definitely use this hotel.

excellent location, major tourist sites in walking distances In-room safe existent but not fixed to any furniture or structure, therefore can be easily picked up and removed from the hotel e.g. in a suitcase.

The breakfast buffet and the helpfulness of the hotel staff were both excellent. The Hotel de Flandre is a comfortable hotel that is located near many of the most important historical sites in Gent. The computer for guests did not have working internet access during the three days of our stay. This was only a minor inconvenience for us, however.

The best thing about it was its location, right next to the beautiful sights of Ghent. Breakfast was very good too. The room was very nice and roomy. The worst thing was the cleaning staff. They took forever to clean the rooms. One day, we were gone for 7 hours, and when we came back to rest a little before dinner, the room had not been cleaned yet. The cleaning staff was loud too. They would yell from one side of the courtyard to the other while they were smoking and having a rest.
