Martin’s Brugge is just behind the famous 13th-century Belfry and 185 yards from the Grote Markt. It has a terrace and a cocktail bar, and all rooms have a flat-screen TV.
Score from 2108 reviews Very good
location was great, rooms were clean and comfortable, I chose this hotel for the interesting décor and it didn't disappoint.
The room was spacious, modernly styled and very clean with a small but well equipped shower room. The breakfast, whilst simple, was a great bonus. All the staff were friendly and the hotel bar was a relaxed area to grab a drink after a day if sightseeing.
No tea or coffee making facilities in the room
Room wasn't the room described!
mattress for double bed devided into two parts (splitting apart during night)
poor breakfast, quite old.
Very friendly staff, good breakfast, and great location next to historic district. The off location parking was in a good location to start walking in the historic district.
Great location, friendly staff, nice bar , good breakfast and really unusual rooms. A little gem.
WIFI excellent in the room. The family room had 5 beds which is really unusual and was very spacious with high ceilings. The breakfast had a great choice of continental meats, cereal and breads. Only 3 minutes walk from the central parking zone so easy to find
Windows(quite rightly in a building this old) are not double glazed so everything that happens on the street below is heard. The street is cobbled so every car sounds like a plane taking off. The shower needs a plinth around it - it would finish off the room and stop you stubbing your toe on the concrete. Beds were so soft they were almost uncomfortable but that is just a personal preference
It was easy to find and enter the hotel in the night. Receptionist informed us quick all the codes for late check-in by answer to our e-mail. Location is really good. It takes about 7-10 minutes walk from the train station to the hotel and about 3-5 to the city centre and sights. Warm atmosphere and very favor staff made our 2 days of staying very pleasant. Good continental breakfast and nice room at the highest floor with triangular house-top and ceeling with wood balks was a bonus for us ). It was interesting to know that women Monastery was located at this building at 12 century.
Only sounds from the bathroom while using could make some inconvenience.
Free wifi Clean and tidy room Modern bathroom Great value for money Small family run place Great location
Beds were a little soft Staff not overly friendly Breakfast very basic
Bad staffs, even made fun of customers, and bad number calculating, almost paid a wrong price...bad cost/value ratio.
close to centre
room was street level and fairly noisy at times. room safe not operable. staff at desk ok, but not overly helpful. room is basic
Location, friendly staff, breakfast good (and served earlier than scheduled for us), station parking = 3.50 Euro for 24 hours
Quirky finishing touches to rooms, noise from passers-by
Particularly like the fact that everything was within walking distance from the hotel. Very good restaurants nearby.
Location perfect! Great breakfast selection Lovely lounge
Uncomfortable pillows Poor wifi Mould on blind
The bad; the room was very clean; decent breakfast; convenient area
The furniture, the bathroom was very small but it was clean. Old building.
I liked the room, the staff and the location.
We had a room at the front. People parked there during the night to unload to go to other hotels. Car radios left on during this time. A staff member left his motor bike running outside our window at 3.00am for 10 minutes. Staff banged trollies past our door during the night.
Excellent location, the building has a lot if character, great breakfast, very good value for money
The hotel was very quaint and Bruges is lovely as well. We were on the third floor with a terrific view of one of Bruges' famous churches. The staff were very attentive and the breakfast was delightful.
We had large bags, our room was on the third floor and there is no elevator. Aside from the lack of an elevator we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
My room was perfect for one person. Cute little hotel that is so close to everything.
The rooms got too hot at night and after opening the window I was attacked by misquitos (not really anything they could do about that). Wish they would have had more items for breakfast, but overall breakfast was ok.
Very friendly welcoming hotelier, in fantastic part of town-only a 5 minute walk from main square, restaurants and bars. Tasty continental breakfast. Characterful bedroom with high beams. A very pleasant stay.
Hotel was quintessential European. We had a room on the third floor that overlooked the rooftops of neighboring buildings. The hotel does not have an elevator but its worth the walk up the stairs. Breakfast was free and excellent with a lot of choices. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and a short walk to the old town. Good place to stay in a great city.
Not appropriate for persons with disabilities.
The staff were helpful, the food was excellent, the accomodation was old but very clean . This hotel is excellent for access to the city center and in a quiet location, the only noise is from people going to work on their push bikes I the early morning.
There is no lift in this hotel and we were on the top floor( my wife has lymphodema) so this was quite a test. The temperature was 26-28c while we were there and being in the roof space the room was hot, the only way to cool this down was to open the window and then of course you are open to insect bites. It did take the edge off the trip.
breakfast is good, the bar is good, perfect location. the spanish waitress is great, make you feels you comfortable.
the bar should be 24 hours or at least last to 10 or 11 PM, the room is not very clean, and it's also damp.
