Hotel le Relais  

The location of hotel is suitable area in Spa.

It was in a wonderful location. The owners are very nice. He speaks English very well. It is a very short walk to the tram that goes up the mountain to the spa. It is right down town. The owner also has a chocolate shop and a cafe that were both wonderful. To get the key to your room, you need to go to the chocolate shop. You might as well indulge the sweet tooth when you check in. There is a bakery and a second chocolate shop next door. We had a beautiful view of the town.

You have to bring your own towels to the Spa, so it would have been nice to have extra towels. The room was cosie. There was not a shower curtain, so the tub was our only choice.

Location in the town centre was good. Bed linen was to standard

No tea or coffee making facilitys in the room The room we had was above the resturant kitchen therefore we had to suffer the fumes from the cooking. The room itself, the decor was dark and the lighting was poor. Overall the price we paid was twice the normal rate given £100.oo per person per night given that it was a grand prix weekend, but even so the standard rate is extremley poor value for money given the overall poor standard of the room / hotel No holder for the shower head which made things very difficult when showering

This is the worst experience I've had at any hotel through booking.com. When I arrived at the hotel, it was locked and there was no-one around. There is an intercom to contact them. The first two times I tried, there was no response. Finally, on the third try I got a response. They didn't speak English; only French. Eventually, they went and got someone who spoke some English. They explained that the key was in a mailbox outside the hotel. With that I could get into the hotel and into my room. The room was ok. However, there was no in-room Internet, as claimed. In the stairway (there was no elevator, reception area or lounge) there was a wifi signal called "La Relais" but it was password protected and there was no-one to ask. I want to emphasize this: at no time in my entire stay did I see a single person from the hotel! The restaurant attached to the hotel never opened. There was a sign on the breakfast room door saying to go to the "Chocolatiere DARCI" for breakfast. No place with that name exists. There is a Glacé place next door that had people in it so I tried that. That was the right place. It was also where you return your key, checkout and pay. But they wouldn't accept my credit cards. (And, yes, they are chip-and-pin cards and work everywhere else in Europe.) And no-one spoke English. There is no way I could recommend this hotel to anyone. It is by far the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel in Europe. I can't imagine how any business could treat its customers with more distain than this place treats its customers.

Centrale ligging

Optimaal qua locatie, en uitstekende prijs/kwaliteit-verhouding. Hotel ligt middenin Spa, aan de voet van de lift naar de thermen, temidden van restaurants en winkels. Kamer (en gebouw) oogden wat uitgewoond, maar wel schoon. De bedden en het beddengoed waren werkelijk uitstekend, we hebben 2 nachten zalig geslapen. Het ontbijt was ook prima, eenvoudig maar vers en met zeer vriendelijke bediening.

Het trappenhuis en de kamer oogde oud, de vloerbedekking was aan vervanging toe.

Zeer goed gelegen in het centrum van Spa, vlakbij de Thermen van Spa (waarvoor we in de eerste plaats naar Spa kwamen). Het ontbijt was vrij "basic"

- Geen Kleenex in de badkamer (alhoewel er een houder voorzien was) - de lamp op het bureautje werkte niet en de verlichting in de kamer was al redelijk duister - moeilijk om het raam opnieuw te sluiten na openen - de afstandsbediening van TV werkte niet - het kluisje op de kamer was gesloten, waardoor we het niet konden gebruiken (alhoewel er gevraagd werd om het kluisje open te laten bij het verlaten van de kamer)

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, das ist gut. Das Haus von aussen erscheint sehr nett, leider bestätigt sich das innen nicht. Das Zimmer war für den Preis schlecht und unter den Erwartungen. Schimmel im Bad, sehr, sehr einfaches Zimmer, keine Rezeption, Schlüssel muss im Laden nebenan abgeholt werden. Frühstück sehr einfach, Brötchen frisch und noch warm, Schoko Croissant ebenfalls sehr lecker. Mit Personal hatten wir keinen Kontakt, da es keine Rezeption gibt und beim Frühstück auch kaum jemand zu sehen war. Sehr unpersönlich. Auf das Restaurant im Hotel hatten wir dann auch keine Lust mehr, obwohl es ganz nett aussah. Zu empfehlen: La Tonnelleria ungefähr 150 m entfernt- gutes essen.

Verrassend hotel met ontbijt in de belendende chocoladerie.

L'hotel se situe juste en face du funiculaire qui mène aux thermes.

Manque juste une porte à la salle de bain/wc
