perfect location, everything was good
It was noisy in the morning due to construction works nearby, but I suppose that the construction is already over :)
Decking outside room was collapsing. Ashtray on table on terrace outside full of cigarettr butts etc. Sock left on bedroom floor. Poor ventilation of room
The city is beautiful, post card photos around every corner. The canal trip is fun. We were there for their annual food Fest. The food and atmosphere was fun, very local.
Staff most unhelpful or completely absent, poorly maintained, a light fixture was pulled off the wall and left dangling, bashed up lampshades, threadbare linens and towels. We were lectured by a waiter at the hotel restaurant for not having a reservation, even tho it was early for dinner and with the place almost empty. We were told to sit at a dark bar area to wait until an opening was available if one appeared. Very rude, we left and did not bother to go back. Overall we got the sense that most of the Belgium's we encountered wanted our money but had no interest in anything else, most ranged between fawning and looking right thru us. There were exceptions particularly in the artist market and the antique markets.
Super location, parking easy.
No coathooks in room. Aircon not too functional enough.
The hotel was in a really good central position, the staff were very helpful, as we arrived quite a few hours before check in we needed somewhere to store our luggage, we were able to store our luggage at the hotel both before check in and after check out till we needed to leave free of charge, which was really helpful, we would definitely stay at the hotel again.
Location was very good, close to the train station and many restaurants. 5 min walk to main attractions.
The AC of the restaurant was next to our window, it was noisy and loud... And the lights.. Room had a large window no issues during daytime, but at night the room lights were awful.
our room came with a nice terrace room was in a quiet side street very central and close to the train station
No english speaking TV news etc Reception area often un-attended long response to bell call in reception
Didn't stay long enough
Excellent and very friendly staff. NIce old-fashion building. Beautiful area
Impossible to sleep because of repair works starting early in the morning. Rooms exposed to the noise should obviously not be available for booking!!!
Great position, good price and spacious room, good breakfast, fridge in room. Just great basics for a comfortable stay.
A few minuses that just took the edge off a great stay. Staff have to remember that guests not a nuisance but are actually pretty important. Mostly the staff were off hand and slightly rude. Also, they overdo the heating. 20 plus degrees and they have the heating going. Windows don't open and it makes sleep very difficult.
Such a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location with helpful staff.
The room , The price , The location, The stuff. Everything is perfect.
The location of the hotel is great, just on the edge of the main shopping and restaurant area, and within a 10 min walk to the main plaza (the one made famous by the "In Bruges" movie and the lovely canal that runs through the town. Bed was clean and comfy.
Hotel is very dated and in a poor state. Dirty stains on the carpets. Bathroom had a shower head, but no way of taking a shower. Breakfast was adequate. NOTE that parts of the hotel are serviced by a lift, others are not. The hotel was so warm that we had to sleep with the window open, letting in some noise from the neighbouring bars and the early morning setting up (6am) of stalls for the flea-market.
scruffy bedroom, poor bathroom,in need of major revamp.
It's location is in a good place - it's in historical center - very beautiful, and also close to the train station - you don't hear a thing, but you can reach train station in about 10 minutes walking on feet. Great staff - they love their clients. Breakfast was good. Room was very nice. As a young couple we can say just all the best things. Loved it!
close to station
Rooms were very hot not a/c
Restaurant, Bar & Breakfast areas very smart but that's where it ends.
Rooms in annexe involving a walk through bar and restaurant past piles of laundry on the floor to cross a narrow alley to what look like staff quarters. Rooms incredibly hot but no aircon , hairdryer broken , balcony timbers rotted and floor sank on stepping out. cannot open windows at night as g/floor onto public alley. Curtains hanging off rail , no bath mat, mouldy grout between tiles, mini bar empty/ staff living in rooms either side. Breakfast poor. Do not stay here.
The location was excellent right in the centre of Brugge just where we wanted to be close to all attractions and amenities. Breakfast was ok not a huge amount of choice but plenty of it. Cereal was cornflakes. Sliced cheese and ham. Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and well cooked streaky bacon.
The heating was on in the room and even when turned off the radiators gave off some warmth. The bathroom radiator could not be turned off or down. Poor nights sleep because we were so hot. The double doors opened on to a small balcony shared with 2 other rooms. We did not feel safe sleeping with the doors open fully and needed to set up a 'trap' to alert us if we had an intruder. The bedside lamp only worked if you knocked the table.
Location was great - not too far from the train station in the middle of the historic city centre. Very friendly staff and good overall cleanliness.
The room itself was on the annex side top-floor, which turned out to be slightly too hot and there was almost no air changing in the bathroom, rendering the experience after a shower somewhat tropical.
Breakfast buffet was excellent and the hotel is close to central Bruges and close to the train station.
Our room was on the top floor was uncomfortably hot. There were no screens on the windows and we were eaten alive by the mosquitoes that got in. The shower drain was blocked and the Wi-Fi signal was very slow and weak.
Friendly staff. ..Great Restaurant and walking distance to central plaza. ..Great. Breakfast!!!
I was on the top, third floor and had a good view over the roof tops. Breakfast included was good.
No kettle in the room
convenient location, quiet, clean beds and daily change of linen excellent breakfast
no checking out facility on departure - Sunday morning - no staff to complete checkout. rooms are due for a refurbishment - bathrooms v.tired
Close to centre of Bruges and 10 mins walk to cheaper station parking. Lovely atmosphere in reception and restaurant. Good breakfast. Large room, comfortable bed.
Wi-Fi wasn't working at all during out 2 day stay.
