Lovely room with huge bed and bathroom, luxury fittings. Beautifully decorated old 18th C building. Really good value for the price we paid. Internet connection didn't seem to work, but this wasn't too much of a problem. |

Everything - the staff, the service, the helpfulness of all, the period type quirkiness of the hotel and its furnishings, the individuality of each room, the luxury of each bedroom, the breakfasts - everything contributed to make it an enyoyable and relaxing 5 night stay. Having to leave Hotel Recour to come home. |

the fiendliness of the staff of the hotel was superb. there is a very romantic ambience in the hotel. the restaurant was very good with an immaculate service. They really know how to make people welcome and happy. the `romantic`rooms very very beautiful and romantic (including jacuzzi), but as it is in the old part of the hotel there is the possibility of disturbing noises in the morning. (As the floor and doors are still original!!) But you can see this as the charm of being in a original `herenhuis`. |

The room was both clean and comfortable, well equipped, and warm - given the outside temperatures. The staff were helpful. did not eat at the hotel - helpful to have been warned by previous reviewers about the restaurant prices which seemed excessive. |

The rooms, both older style and modern, are joy to relax use whatever the time of the year. The cost of breakfast is disproportionate to the cost of the accommodation. |

Arriving at the hotel on Wednesday with my husband was delightful, I had the flu and could not have gone anywhere better. This is a wonderful place to stay which we will certainly be returning to. |

The location in Popperinge was great, just off of the main square. There was good parking available at the hotel. The meal at the hotel restaurant was pricey but just outstanding. Neither our room nor the room of a traveling companion had a shower, only a bath, a nice bath but no shower. |
