Staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with lots of tips on shopping and sightseeing. The hotel was well placed with everything we wanted to see and do within easy walking distance but just far enough away to be out of the 'hubbub'. We had a great 180 degree view of the canal below and the activity on it from our window. Our room was very quiet and the beds were very comfortable - I haven't slept that well for years! The food in the hotel's 'The Sixties' restaurant was excellent and very well presented and I would have liked to have stayed longer to explore more of the excellent wine list. I would really have liked tea/coffee making facilities in our room as the first thing I need when I wake in the morning and also when we get back late from wherever we have been, is a refreshing 'cuppa'. However, I did notice too late on our last day that we could probably have asked for a kettle from reception but in a 4 star hotel should I have to?

The breakfast lady gave us some great recommendation on restaurants. Have to be careful of the beam. I knock my head a few times.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful the location was great- close to main areas yet silent and reserved in a way we did not have time to eat at the restaurant however the Irish coffee we had at the bar was the best served we ever had! The terazza is great also even in winter :-) Our bath room light was not working and it took time to repair. There should be at least one long mirror in the room (there was only one in the cabinet)

The bathroom was lovely, as where the beams in the bedroom. Could be a fantastic hotel with a bit more care. There were a number of things that we weren't happy with. No blind or curtain on the window, when I rang reception they came and pinned a black sheet over the window. One of the cupboard doors wasn't attached, the hinges were loose inside, and the doorlanded on my daughters foot when she opened it. Nothing in the mini bar, you have to ring reception and get them to bring drinks up but when we asked how much a bottle of wine was nobody knew. We had to get the duvet changed because there was a large coffee stain on it. Also one of the sheets had specks of blood on it but we didn't realise this till bedtime so had to sleep on a towel.

Breakfast was the only good thing The bar was not open during my stay. There were 5 other persons travelling seperately who also weren't happy about this. The young manager simply couldn't keep his hands out of his pockets even while serving us guests. Most rude.....

Expensive for what it was. Nice enough suite but shouldn't have to ask three times for the bed linen to be changed in a 4 star hotel. The weekend staff were rude and arrogant. The staff during the week were friendlier and admitted that they have problems with the weekend staff. Quite odd then that the management have not addressed this issue. It could be so much nicer but falls short in a number of areas. Would not return.

The location of the hotel is amazing, right near the centre and has a lovely terrace overlooking the famous Brugge canals. It is a contemporary towards modern hotel with duplex rooms which is ideal when you travel with a family of four. The beds are very comfortable, great bathroom. We did not use the breakfast facility as 21 euros per adult is a bit silly especially when there are so many lovely eateries just around the corner to have breakfast. The car parking is quite challenging as there is obviously not enough parking for all and your car will be blocked in until the next morning, so if you have an early start, see to it that no one can block your car as you won't be able to leave. The was a horrible stench in the car park which permeated right into our room so we had to keep the window closed. The hotel room looked tired, doors were falling of their hinges. The potential of the hotel is great, I wish staff would pay more attention to detail.

Location was good being in a quieter street but still a short walk to the centre. On site parking (only for about 15 cars). I suspect was very nice once but getting tatty. Blind, cupboard, tap and light fitting were in need of repair. Wifi was not available in bedroom, just in lobby. Breakfast overpriced at 21 euros per person including children. Hotel deliveries taking place at checkout time meant elevators were busy and had to wait a long time.

Quality accommodation within easy reach of the city on the banks of the canal.A Lovely terrace and secure car parking.Fabulous view from our upgraded room/suite.Superb bath/shower room with power shower and limed oak effect exposed beams. Slightly smelly lift at the time of our stay.May be due to the fact it had just been repaired and cleaned.

Initial welcome was friendly and helpful. On arrival we noted odours (drains?) in our room. We left the window open as we left to explore the area, however, on return the odours were worse. I reported this to the lady on reception (along with a dripping shower which could not be turned off - Chinese water torture!) and after conferring with a colleague we were moved to another room which had been taken out of service due to a leaking shower and water damaged flooring (there being no other rooms available). I gained the impression that management were aware of the problem odours in our initial room but still chose to allocate it to unsuspecting guests. We arranged for an early morning wake up call to ensure we reached the station on time and despite offering 3 different credit cards and a Euro debit card we were informed that all 4 cards came up cancelled. Fortunately I had sufficient cash to settle the bill however I was advised that they could not change a 100 Euro note so I had to scramble to get the right amount. All this in a supposed 4 star hotel. Overall not a positive experience notwithstanding the helpfulness of the lady on reception who reallocated our room.

Room was very large and accomidating for family of four. Food at hotel was EXCELLENT (breakfast and dinner)! Location was great. Internet never worked in room, even after hotel staff worked on it. Had to go to lobby for working internet. Also, AC didn't work in our room on 2nd night. Aside from minor issues, hotel and staff were fantastic.
