location,quiet,veiw,quirky room design,breakfast helpful staff,
loved the location, the view, the staff
had cash ready to pay but card had been debited incurring extra £7 charges
The room, the building, the view, the breakfast, the staff, the cat, everything about the place was great. The stairs made sure that you had your daily exercise. Loved the place.
Outlook onto the cathedral. Very good breakfast (fabulous eggs!). Playful cat! Friendly staff
Absence of lift no worries for us, but might be a problem for those with mobility issues
Friendliness of staff
Stairway to rooms ... steep and narrow steps
Good view of the cathedral from our room. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Good location and well maintained.
No internet in the rooms. Coffee and shampoo etc not replaced.
- Breakfast was good - Staff was very co operative; extremely knowledgeable about the main tourist spots and provide 24 hour assistance - Hotel was located at a 5 mins walk from Bijlmer Arena Metro Station, which can easily be reached from either Schipol Airport or Central Station - Easy access to shops and restaurants at a walking distance from the hotel - IKEA is also 10 mins walk away from the hotel For those staying in Amsterdam for 3 nights, please use the 72 hour ticket for unlimited access to the tram; bus and metro
- Breakfast had the same items everyday. It was good but it could get boring (its a personal opinion) - Internet range can slow down in room but it's a rare thing Even otherwise, the place is very good and I recommend every traveler to Amsterdam to stay there
Excellent, helpful staff. The views. The location. The cleanliness. Breakfast. Aircon.
The stairs to the top, but the view made them worthwhile.
We understand that this hotel use to be the rectory for St. Salvatores, one of the big churches in Brugges - so it has historical value. The staff, especially Ollie, could not have been nicer and more helpful. The included breakfast was very nice, and they would even make fresh eggs for you. Location is perfect - close to everything. We felt it was an excellent value for Brugges.
There really was nothing we didn't like. Guests must understand that there is no elevator, and the rooms are a bit funky in decor.
Cat walking around in the bar - a problem for who is allergic.
Lovely little hotel, definitely good value for money (anything similar would set you back much more in Bruges), nice aquarium in room to add a unique feature, staff were friendly and always happy to help, very clean and good bathroom facilities, breakfast was waffles or eggs and bread/cheese/meat with some cereals available (couldn't see a toaster anywhere though!). 5 minutes walk to the markt square so ideal location!
We were on the top floor and the wifi didn't reach us, so we had to sit in the lounge to use the internet to plan our days in Bruges!
This hotel was small and friendly with a great breakfast!
Easy walking distance from everything, cafes bars and restaurants just around the corner. We had the room with a terrace and spa bath, ideal for an extended stay. They also hid chocolate and wine in the room as a surprise.
We arrived on a market day so the road was closed and we went round in circles before I walked to the hotel and found a way through for the car via the bus depot. Could do with a little TLC and tidy up, but still good value.
Central location was great
had to park some way away
Great location, quirky rooms and friendly staff
The hotel is in a seventeenth century building, so full of character and atmosphere. Its location is excellent, by the cathedral and within five minutes walk of the town centre. The staff are friendly and obliging, happy to book meals at restaurants, for example. It is very clean and tidy. There was a good view of the cathedral and city streets from our window. The free wi-fi was useful.
There were no major faults. Minor niggles: breakfast could have been more varied: although there was plenty of cold food the only hot options were eggs and waffles; and the hotel's free wi-fi range did not extend to our room.
Great hotel for Brugge. The staff were wonderful and very helpful to us! Rooms were clean and spacious and the breakfast was very good! Location is perfect right in the centre but still peaceful, will return again!
We loved this quirky hotel! Our room was at the top of the building nestling in the eves, and we had an amazing view of the Cathedral opposite. Sandy in reception gave us some great recommendations for non-touristy places to eat, all within walking distance, We hired bikes from the hotel and this is the best way to see this gorgeous city. The hotel was clean and in the heart of the old city. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere informal and laid back. Even our motorbike was given a very comfortable and secure place to stay. We had a perfect weekend, Thank you!
We loved it all!!!!
The location and the Staff....Sandy was very very helpful. My car got broken and Sandy really played a vital role in getting me in touch with the rental guys. Hats off to Sandy...She is so nice....
The air conditioning and wifi didn't work in the room.
The staff were very helpful and always approachable. The atmosphere was like a family setting which made it very welcoming, non-threatening and easy going. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful, with quiet a variety to choose from. Anything not on the table was provided promptly and with a smile.Well done and keep the good work up! Staff were so helpful with information about location of cheap parking, convenience shops, affordable restaurants and activities, including anything else a visitor could ask for in a foreign destination, we could not ask for more!
Quite honestly, nothing at all!
breakfast, helpful staff , location
very quiet bar
