The hotel is located in a very pleasant area which I liked, but unfortunately there is currently a building site next to it, about which we were not warned! It is decorated in a fresh modern style which we liked, although we did have reservations about the level of comfort. The breakfast was good, but it was served fifteen minutes late on our second morning when we wanted to leave early i.e. at 0830 hours instead of 0815 hours. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and polite. We find that Knokke itself is a most delightful town to stay in, and would very much like to return in the future.

We both felt that although our room was clean and modern in style, it did feel rather basic and lacked cosiness. It was not a home from home! We also thought that the bathroom was rather pokey. To be honest for the price we paid we expected more from the room. The breakfast was good, but the huge cool cabinet seemed to be stocked with a lot of unnecessary items, and was quite hideous. It would have been nice not to have had those horrible packets for jam, honey, butter etc. To me packets indicate budget, but you don't charge budget prices! Sorry to bang on but you did ask!

It was neither our first, nor our last stay in this hotel! Like before, we found that the staff members, especially the owner, were all very friendly and helpful, happy to answer all our questions, etc. The room was perfeclty clean and decorated with great taste, as is the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was really excellent, all products carefully chosen and very fresh. This is definitely a high quality place to stay in Knokke.

De mensen bij St. Pol zijn supervriendelijk, de kamers zijn schoon en comfortabel en het ontbijt is werkelijk verrukkelijk. Je voelt en proeft de liefde die de medewerkers en eigenaars hebben voor het vak. Men is zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam. Wij komen zeker terug en zouden dit hotel bij iedereen willen aanbevelen!

Die Lage nahe am Naturpark!

Das Hotel ist nicht sonderlich gepflegt: der Aussenputz brökelt ab, auf der Terrasse liegen so manche Gartenutensilien herum, welche dort nichts verloren haben. Auch wenn es manchmal streng nach Putzmitteln roch, liess die Sauberkeit doch zu wünschen übrig: tote Fliegen scharten sich um die Leuchten des Frühstücksraumes und auch die Stühle wiesen so manche Flecken auf. Die Einrichtung ist sichtlich in die Jahre gekommen; loose Steckdosen und muffige, verwaschene Bettdecken zeugen davon! Das Frühstücksbuffet war in Ordnung; die zahlreichen mit Mayonnaise angerührten Brotaufstriche wirkten jedoch bereits optisch nicht sehr frisch! Das Hotel ist lieblos und wir haben uns nicht sehr wohl gefühlt! Alles in allem ist die Auberge nicht zu empfehlen für Reisende, welche an ihr Quartier gewisse Ansprüche stellen!

la chambre était petite comme annonçé, mais la salle de douche (pas de bain) était minuscule(80 cm sur 2m) y compris douche et évier. la télé était vraiment très petite.
