This was our second visit to Huis 'T Schaep. We love the comfortable bed and the calm feel of the place. The host is charming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Excellent breakfast. Will most definitely return again.
A beautiful house, full of beautiful and interesting things. A charming host who was helpful and attentive. Delicious breakfast.
There was nothing to dislike.
The decor, stained glass, old world feel, location, breakfast, helpful courteous staff, awesome bathroom w/ claw foot tub next to huge stained glass window, canopy bed, I could go on
everything was great
This ideally located B&B was wonderful in every way (as long as you can handle the stairs). We had one of the more modest rooms, but it was still a luxury experience with a large room and lovely bathroom. The breakfast is excellent and is served by the owner with grace and wit, as he helps with any touring plans you might have. The building is beautifully decorated, making the most of the original decor. It is quiet and comfortable, and we were sorry to leave.
Hotel was charming and full of character. Facilities were excellent. The host was very friendly and helpful. A real gem in the heart of Bruges.
There was nothing to dislike.
An easy walk from the station, but near everything, this is an amazing property, the historic home of a famous artist that have been lovingly restored and filled with remarkable art and furniture. A real oasis of beauty and serenity. The owner/host, John, cares about the quality of everything they do. We'd happily stay here again next time in Brugge
Very close to the City Square and railway station. Rooms very large and facilities excellent. We were in the Renoir room which had antique furniture and beautifully painted sculptures. John was very a great host. Showed us around the house. Allowed us to entertain our friends in the Chapel (another beautiful room) and the terrace. Very trusting hosts. Breakfast was well presented with all the trimmings with suggestions from the Maitre d'.
The house is absolutely amazing. We had the Rubens room which was magnificent! John, the owner couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We had a wonderful few days here. Thank you.
Great personalised briefing on arrival. Conciencious, caring owners with huge passion for their unique hotel and their lovely city.
We were in the Renoir room which was huge with a large bathroom. Antique fit out for the discerning. The hosts were very knowledgable and gave excellent suggestions. Breakfast comprehensive cooked to order. If coming from the train station take the path before you get to the cobblestone road opposite the station. Brugge was very interesting and quiet enjoyable.
the owner is really nice, the breakfast was awesome! great location! will definitely stay there again for my next trip!
great hospitality could not do enough for you. Gave you all the local information you needed. Rooms large and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was great. Really set you up for the day. Highly recommend.
This bed and breakfast property was fabulous. All of the rooms are suites. The breakfast was amazing. The decor of the property was great. I would highly recommend this property.
Everything was amazing, location was only 5to 10 mins walk from train station, b&b was easy to find as the owner John had sent us am email with all directions to get there taking the stress away, when arrived we were greeted with a friendly face called john, very polite and spoke great English,John is very knowledgable about places to visit and places to eat. Our room was of excellent quality and everything we needed at hand, very peaceful area and the lovely sound of the cathedral bells in back ground. Breakfast options were excellent along with the service, we only had 2nights and was sad to leave and found our selves still talking about John and his lovely accommodation, so we will definitely be returning in the distant future, thanks john xx me and mrs Wildman of the uk.
Great central location in a very quite street. Easy access to all areas of Bruges. House is full of history and character, loving restored by the owners, who are excellent hosts. Highly recommended
The house and our room were absolutely stunning. The welcome, breakfast and little touches were superb, cannot recommend it enough.
all top quality lovely furnishings and fittings very good host would highly rate all
The B&B is a relatively short walk from the train station and close to the main village of Brugge. The owner, Jon, is extremely proud of his establishment, and he should be. It's beautifully decorated in period pieces and is full of character. Breakfast was wonderful, the beds were comfortable, and Jon offered great suggestions on where to eat and what to see. We love it!
John who looked after us was really kind and knowledgeable about Bruges and the local attractions, and the breakfast was delicious. The room was nicely decorated with beautiful furniture and interesting books on Gothic art. There were also lots of unusual ornaments and paintings dotted around the hotel which made it feel like a private house which I personally like as most hotels seem quite corporate and impersonal these days. The rooms were immaculately clean and I would definately come to this hotel again. Thanks for a great stay.
The weather vane was a bit noisy, because it was very windy, but this I am sure only happens occasionally.
A perfect 10. What a wonderful building and charming host. Room was amazing as was breakfast. We didn't want to leave and will certainly return. Fantastic!
Everything about this house is superb. John (one of the owners) was an excellent host, attentive and informative about his house and Bruges. We stayed in the Rubens suite, which was wonderful; spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The breakfasts were geat too; much more pleasant than the buffet-style breakfast available in large hotels. It is a special place to stay, and very convenient for the sights of Bruges. We also found it convenient for the public carpark at T' Zand. It was only a couple of minutes walk from the guesthouse and cost 8.70 euros/day. We have stayed in several other hotels in Bruges previously, and Huis 'T Schaep far exceeds any of them!
great breakfast unique interior design location
