location is ideal
Great staff creating friendly efficient atmosphere and short walking distance of restaurants in town square
very good hotel close to downtown
Location, cleanliness, extremely helpful and friendly staff. Good size room.
Would have liked tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge
parking not guaranteed
in middle of center almost silent airco
crack in shower poor repaired
Close to restaurants and shops. Free parking at night
Breakfest poor not good value. Town very expensive to eat and drink.
As with every Ibis hotel I have visited, it is an inexpensive, clean hotel in a great location from which to explore whichever city you happen to be staying.
It has possibly the slowest elevator since the invention of the second floor, but I prefer the stairs anyway so it's not much of a criticism.
The staff were extremely accommodating, friendly and could not have been better. When we were all depressed at losing in the world cup, they brought over a round of vodka. Many other examples of great service
The breakfast wasn't really good. Especially the coffee was bad. It had a burned taste and I guess the machine wasn't properly maintained. In addition the breakfast area was very dark and had no windows at all.
Hope to get reduced price for next trip
Nice and clean hotel right in the center of the city
Large clean room, good location.
Rather expensive - 90.90 for 1 nights for twin room. I was charged additional 120 Euro on arrival which was classed as a reservation fee. The money have not yet returned to my credit card.
It was fine and friendly and all that we wanted
Though no fault of Ibis.. The access by car to the hotel is challenging The central one-way traffic arrangements an unbelievable maze..but maybe thats just me!
Loved the roomy shower.
It would have been great to have had a jug instead of having to go to the cafe for a tea or coffee.
The location of the hotel
Excellent location, helpful staff, no noise and very clean and well cared for building and rooms.
No coffee.tea making facilities in the room.
Excellent location and reasonably priced.
I visited as part of a group of 26-30 people over Easter Bank Holiday weekend '14. Many of us had booked rooms back in June '13 through Booking.com & got an excellent deal. There was another large group of visitors. A wheel-chair hockey team from Switzerland who were taking part in a national competition near-by. The hotel seemed to cater for all their needs as a group, may of whom had severe disabilities and were wheel-chair users. The rooms are of good standard for a budget hotel, lots of hot water in the showers, good reliable WiFi. Tv in the rooms but there are no kettles which seemed to bother some of our group who wanted to be able to make a cuppa. Bar prices were very reasonable & we were served well into the night. Over Easter there is a very large funfair in town. The atmosphere was great & very relaxed (unlike in the uk where there is often a feeling of tension). Secure parking was available for our group of motorcycles & cars. The hotel is a short walk form the train station & there are lots of shops, bars & restaurants to explore. A great place for a weekend or business break in Kortrijk
Breakfast was rather expensive for the amount I wanted to eat. At 14 Euro (I think) it was a typical eat as much as you like continental buffet & cooked breakfast with lots of choice. This would set you up for the day. I would have preferred an option for a coffee & Croissant/Danish. I only used it on the last day to save time going elsewhere in the town & have a quick getaway. As I mentioned above, some people moaned about there not being a kettle in the rooms. Otherwise I've no complaints at all
Hotel was in centre of town which was excellent for sight seeing in the area. Hotel was clean and rooms were serviced on a daily basis.
Was charged 360.00 euros on arrival which was classed as a reservation fee. Not very happy as this was more than the three nights booked which came to just over 170.00 euros. I was not asked for card details when I booked on line but hotel said card had been rejected, not possible, no card details had been asked for To add insult to injury when I checked out I was told I had to pay and the reservation fee would be credited back to my account in a few days. Not acceptable business practice. Monies should have been returned at check out at latest. this also happened to another member of our party who then did not have funds to do what he wanted on the trip. I will think very carefully before I book with this chain of hotels in the future.
location / good staff very helpfull / very clean / good spred of food for breakfast / will use again
parking / you need to put a small table and chairs outside for the smokers / late at night the one staff member gets overworked with both the bar and resecption
Very accomodating staff, with access to snacks and refreshments at any time The Staff were very helpful and friendly, in a perfect location right in the center of the Town and near the markets. the hotel is very clean and well kept..
My 18 year old son and a friend also stayed in the same hotel, they were given a room which seemed to have half another unfinished room on to it, which left their room with no window or fresh air, I think they may have taken advantage of youth not knowing any better, I only saw this on the last day or I would have insisted on change.
