Score from 669 reviews Good
Great area, safe, places to eat and great metro access. Good breakfast and great staff.
It is a little fair from the square, 15, 20 minute walk and it is not a direct route.
Location, staff, parking facility, clean rooms, buffet breakfast included.
The all day free coffee/tea/juice is something worth mentioning. Location is very good, room is very clean and spacious and the staff are very accomodating. And the best thing is, the price is very reasonable.
Staff at this Ibis were very friendly and helpful - I had come to Brussels to find an apartment for a more permanent stay and the concierge helped me find local estate agents, even adverts for rooms to rent nearby. Breakfast was excellent - everything was fresh, there was an impressive variety, considering this is a chain and you could have as much as you liked. Really set me up for my day ahead. Hot drinks any time of the day/night - from the lobby. Free 24hr internet access on a lobby PC (in case you don't have your own laptop, etc.). Was able to my leave my bags in a secure room after I had checked out as my flight was later that evening.
If you're visiting as a tourist, this hotel is a little way from the centre of town - you would need to use public transport to get there. That said, you do benefit from a quieter hotel at night. No tea-making facilities in the rooms - would have been a bit more convenient than using the hotel lobby machines.
Quality of the hotel
Even thought the hotel inform you that under 16 years old can stay for free, at check in they inform you that the room is small so you have to buy the option with extra bed for 30 euro.
- Staff very helpful and polite. One special mention to the receptionist Sophie. - In aug/2014 the hotel was absolutly new. - The bedroom is very confortable. Good bed. - The bathroom is big enough. - Clean hotel. - Excellent breakfest. - Good location. In front of a point to take the TRAM. - there is a market near the hotel (Carrefour express). - wi-fi is good, even in the bedroom.
- Bathroom has curtain. It doesn't ways avoid water to wet the floor.
The tram going around the city is right outside the hotel. Though it is also a short walk to the nearest metro stop. The breakfast had a good selection. I also liked the free coffee and juice all day. The rooms are a bit small and so is the hallway. But the size was ok enough for us, though maybe for bigger built people it would be quite cramped.
Good location and price for Brussels, especially like the ability to grab a coffee at any time day or night.....for free
Everything was normal. Room small but clean. We like coffee and tea service ar lobbi 24 hour.Microwave oven in the room.Hotel is cozy.it s all right for a short stay.
The bed was small.
cleanliness and efficiency plus a laid back atmosphere and some conveniences nearby. There was also an excellent sized safe and an elevator card system.
a bit sparse, needs a more sociable and warmer feel.
There were pleasant guest and employees. Nice little market across the street. A variety of restaurants nearby. Although there is a great deal of graffiti we felt safe walking around the hotel and saw lots of young professionals on the street during the week.
Although they say they have AC our room was very hot. They switched us once and got one that at least blew cool air but it did not cool the whole room. We ended up sleeping with the window open with no screens and lots of street noise. The second day we bought a fan for the room. If you are used to AC be prepared. Just to note only a handful of hotels in Brussels have AC anyway. So it the forecast is hot chose wisely or pack a fan.
Location, 10 min to center. Parking
Tram stop just in front, a bit noisy. No fridge in the room
really amazing . Rooms are very clean , staff and location is good , wifi is fast , everything is perfect .
Hot choclate was free :-)
value for money fitness room location cleanliness
the free 24 hr drinks/tea/coffee facilities in the lobby is very welcome. location is excellent, very nice area.
The friendly staff
Good value for money
1-My door did not lock from outside and I had to change a room. 2- One of my pillows smelled bed. 3-There was a used soap in the shower. These put me off
Tram stops just beside the hotel. Very close to shopping center with good restaurants around. The hotel provides free coffee, tea and juice. very good value for money.
The only thing that I wasn't satisfied was the bedding (duvet cover and sheet) wasn't changed after last customer so I had to get the staff at the reception to get a new bedding set and I had to put on the bedding by myself as the cleaning staffs were off when we arrived the hotel.
good breakfast; WIFI functions well
no coffee or tea facilities in the room itself
Very new hotel with modern and clean facilities. Free drinks in reception area.
Little room for hanging the clothes
Very friendly and helpful staff
This is the kind of hotel you go to for convenience rather than luxury. And it works quite well for that. The hotel is situated right next to a tram stop and a subway station is within easy walking distance. You can also reach the old heart of Brussels on foot, but it's an uphill walk back to the hotel, which may be taxing for some. I appreciated the on-site parking in a secure underground location right next to the hotel (the entrance is just one door to the right of the hotel and the staff provides you with an access card when you check in). Free, easy-to-access and pretty stable Wi-fi is also a plus. Same goes for the free coffee and tea service and the rather good breakfast, which was also included in the room rate. I don't know if the breakfast always comes free of charge, but you're getting a good deal on that if it does.
I wasn't a fan of the shower/bathroom area in our room. Its decor, if you can call it that, brought to mind a hospital rather than a hotel. The shower was sectioned off by a plastic curtain which did nothing to keep water from getting all over the bathroom floor. The room itself was adequate but felt kind of impersonal with its assembly-line look.
