Hotel Ibis Charleroi Gare  

Wonderful staff, very friendly, always willing to help. Clean rooms. Right next to train station - perfect for us as we had to commute to a festival. Near convenience store, takeaway food shops and restaurants. Allowed us to check in early.

Although the rooms were clean they were quite small. Breakfast was expensive at around 14 euro's.

Centrally located between the main railway station and the City Center

Rooms are small and the breakfast is too expensive. (free) Wifi in the rooms does not work. Rooms are noisy (street side) and the wall between the rooms are thin

We went to this hotel because it was near where our friends lived thats the only reson. So location was good and staff were friendly and helpfull.

The key to our room had to be reprogramed every time we went out and came back, also when they "cleaned" the room they did not always do this properly and also the bed sheets were not changed when needed and once i had to ask for them to make the room as they had forgot! The heating in the room was on but not controlable from the controls in the room so it was hot or cold!

Quality of the room was not the best, but worths its price. Staff was perfect and very kind. Location is perfect.

Its location smack in front of the train station and bus terminal was perfect for us. It was easy to get to the hotel in Charleroi from Brussels (you could easily plan to get in from Brussels at the very end of the day, making the most of your time in the city you most likely care to visit, ie lovely Brussels), and then to get to the airport the next morning.

We only arrived at 10.30 pm and left the following morning at 8 am. Just a quick stop over, from arriving by plane at Charleroi airport and leaving by train the following morning. The hotel's location was therefor excellent.

Good location. Easy access to/from Charleroi South Airport. Staff - helpful. Room - good size. Wi-Fi had good signal. You can ask in reception to book a taxi to airport which cost 12 eur. My opinion - hotel is good just to stay between flights.

Hotel is bit overpriced. Croissant in the morning wasn't fresh. But there's "Carrefour express" supermarket just right on the corner, so, over there I bought very nice and fresh croissant just for 0.75 eur!

Best hotel if you have a flight early from Charleroi Airport and you are by train. It is just in front of the railway station Charleroi South and in front of the bus stop line a for Charleroi Airport (during the week from 5.30 to 22.30, every half hour 00.00 and 00.30, 20 minutes long, cost 3 euro). The other hotels closer to the airport are not good because you have to take a shuttle that it costs more than 3 euro and with no time schedule (forbidden to go walking to the airport).

Position, nice stuff, clean.
