The location of the hotel with easy walking to all attractions and the private parking. The friendly welcome, help and advice given when we had a problem with our transport. A team dedicated to making the stay in Brugge as pleasant as possible.
The hotel is nice and stuff was very helpful. Room size was nice.
Easy to find, ;located in the city centre. Rooms modern and comfortable very quiet despite being close to main road. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice good and fresh. Good WiFi reception and private car park at very reasonable cost
This property is centrally located and a comfortable property in which to stay. The property is run by a delightful couple whose family have owned it for many years.
excellent location nice, clean hotel friendly staff good breakfast
Location Friendly Staff Good breakfast selection WiFi included and worked
Car parking booked in advance but no space allocated had to initially park in very tight and awkward spot, reluctant to move car once parked as a result. Bed springs a bit uncomfortable
Very pleasant and helpful staff. We asked to change our room as we'd requested a bath - the manager obliged and our new room was in the old part with a balcony overlooking the city. The newer part is at the back and more modern but we preferred the older part and its character. The continental breakfast is fine and croissants/cheese particularly delicious. Its a smallish hotel but really just a lovely spot to relax and enjoy walking all around Bruges.
The weather - but be prepared with raincoats and umbrellas even in the Summer! Bruges is a beautiful city with its own unique character.
Excelent attention, receptionist very kind and helpful, near from city center, breakfast included
The beds are not comfortable
Staff was very very kind and helpfull. Nice breakfast. Beatiful entrance hall and breakfast room. Very large room.
Sleeping room forniture and decoration were very simple and antique. Trafic noisy street close to the back of the hotel.
Location Staff very respectful Breakfast excellent
Very old Small room Wifi very slow No good TV channel
Excellent room. Good wifi. Nice breakfast. Helpful staff.
We stayed a couple of nights here and really enjoyed the experience. Relatively quiet location with parking and friendly staff who took pride in their business. Thanks for a good stay!
Very warm friendly welcome, beautiful building and clean comfortable room, great position to walk into town, wonderful breakfast. Safe off road parking. The young couple did all they could to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. Very handy room available to leave our motor bike gear whilst we spent the day in Brugge before catching the ferry. We will be back!
Nothing to say.
Liked every thing about this hotel.
The staff were very attentive and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was extremely tasty. Parking was brilliant and the hotel owners were happy for us to leave our car for a couple of hours after we had checked out of the hotel.
Breakfast was ok
The room was small and noisy being on a high traffic road. Double windows needed to reduce the noise
Friendly staff, clean and tidy, great rooms, nice breakfast, not too expensive
Location excellent, staff couldn't have done enough for us. Would definately return.
The location was good, near the Pand side of town where the younger people drink although you could not hear any of the noise in the hotel so this is a good location for young travellers. Would definitely consider this hotel again as the rooms have been recently returned so they were nice and modern
Unfortunately the Pand side of town has an occasional aroma from the canal but it wasn't a massive issue for us. No tea making facilities in the rooms which was a bit disappointing and no biccies which upset my other half! But that is not picking really.

Here our history of a round-birthday stay in GOLDEN TREE HOTEL in Bruges: 1. We got a room on the second floor about 9 -10 m², with a window that opened almost to the ground and didn’t have any guard rail! NO security / safety precautions were available in our room! 2. There was hot weather (more than 30 C° that day) and the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning – hence the whole night we couldn’t sleep and to change the room was also not possible. 3. The bathroom hasn’t a window and the ventilation was not working. We booked initially 3 nights, but we got during our stay an important message from my company that I have to return 1 day earlier to the office. We advised in the evening before (and also again after the breakfast before checking out) that we unfortunately have to leave 1 day earlier. The response was both times: NO PROBLEM. When we checked out, without any comment – surprisingly – we got the invoice for the full booking time that means for 3 nights – but we were only 2 nights in the hotel. I told that I do not agree and would ask at least for their understanding and also I’d like to pay NOT VIA THE CREDIT CARD, WHICH WAS ONLY GIVEN FOR GUARANTEE PURPOSES, but via other payment method. Without comment was the initial credit card (which was only given for guarantee purposes) charged with the FULL AMOUNT and without any further comment leaves our counterpart, named Bart (one of the owners of the hotel) the reception. Afterwards there were some really unpleasant discussions with his wife - up to her insolent call that we have to leave the hotel immediately! – in spite of the fact that the hotel arbitrarily already charged us the whole period – more than our real stay! I also called “booking.com” – as the booking contract was made by them and I am still waiting for a human and correct solution on this very nasty issue with this hotel. I draw the attention of all tourists, to think twice before they book this hotel!!!!
Staff/owners extremely helpful and accommodating, continental breakfast was very good, hotel had a real nice atmosphere.
The hotel has very nice architecture, especially the front building. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is located in a more quiet area of Brugges, which has its advantages. It is a 15 minutes walk from the main sqare and Belfry. Free WiFi and the included breakfast are always good.
We stayed in a 3 people room (no. 3) which was VERY crowded (one of the beds was right in front of the bathroom door, with little room to pass and not much space otherwise).
Room was not very clean and the carpet and spread on the bed were nasty.
