In the heart of historic Bruges within just a 3-minute walk from the central Market Square and the Belfry of Bruges, the Hotel Boterhuis includes free Wi-Fi access, an on-site bar and a terrace.
Score from 1391 reviews Excellent
Hotel Koffieboontje can be found in the cultural heart of Bruges, near the Market Square. The hotel is situated in a calm, traffic-free street and has a terrace and a bistro.
Score from 1926 reviews Good
Martin’s Brugge is just behind the famous 13th-century Belfry and 185 yards from the Grote Markt. It has a terrace and a cocktail bar, and all rooms have a flat-screen TV.
Score from 2395 reviews Very good
Little space. Little bathroom. The poorest Breakfast We have ever had. No notice about Public transport in Brugge.
comfortable and we'll located. No hassles at all travelling with pets... The room and bathrooms were a good size. Food was good.
Additional charges for pets was high so pays to shop around.. there is no standard charges amongst hotels for pets... Hallways are narrow when moving luggage in and out and staircase steep but there is a small lift.....
the hotel is located in old building, very authentic. Lady at the reception was very kind, advised us on how to park a car for free and to avoid fines. the room was spacious enough, and the bathrooms was huge, with actual bathtub so you could take a bath with a view on old town of brugge. The location is great - in the old city and only 10 min from the market square. really tasty breakfast. Great wifi speed.
everything was good
Hotel was close to the center. Staff gave me a map of the area and very helpful. Wifi probably was the best out of every hotel I've stayed in so far. Breakfast was good and had plenty of selection.
The pet fee was the highest out of any place I've stayed in. Had the fee been posted, (25 Euro), I would have just boarded the dog It would have been cheaper.
the food was excellent the hotel was lovely staff friendly
bedrooms to small and paper thin walls could hear people in room next to ours
We arrived at the hotel to a warm welcome. Very informative receptionist who supplied us with a map of Brugge and directions. The hotel is in an excellent location, about 10 minutes slow walk to the centre of town. Breakfast was delicious, especially the pancakes! Our room was very clean and quite modern considering how old the building is. Wifi worked very well till the final day when it stopped working. It was New Year's Day so they couldn't get someone to fix it, which can't be helped. No hairdryer in room but we asked for one and got it straight away. Very soft mattress, which I didn't like at first but loved by the end of the visit.
The rooms have thin walls so when our neighbours decided to have a party in their room at 3am we heard everything. Reception closes at 10pm so there is no one to call to help with this. Customer service at breakfast was appalling. When you pay over £100 a night you do not expect to be barked at for sitting at the wrong table. However my main issue is the lack of value for money. I understand that Brugge is an expensive place to stay but when you pay such high prices you expect little extras like a kettle, mugs, clean bedding every couple of days (ours wasn't changed once in 5 days). Attention to detail goes a long way.
Location is 5 minutes out of the main centre of town and is very quiet. Parking they give you a disc which allows you to park for 4 hours on the street, you then need to change every 4 hours between the hours of 9am and 8pm why they don't mention this I am not sure. But it's a good system they will change for you if you leave your car key. It's very cheap.
All but one young girl of the staff are rude and abrupt and everything seemed like a hassle to them. The shower is a non adjustable and feels like you are standing out in the rain it has no power at all. Toilet paper runs out very quickly We had a family room two adults and 3 children. There was one tiny wardrobe and no where else to put your clothes, we lived out of our suitcase for 4 days. There is only 1 TV despite it being a family room and two rooms with internal door. The sound proofing is non existent so we could hear everyone and for sure they could hear us we have 3 young children! There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. You are not allowed any food in the room and there is no cafes that close by maybe 1km away. So if you have young children who get hungry at 7pm at night you are stuffed! One staff member shouted at my children as they came down the stairs one morning for breakfast as they were talking! The breakfast is awful the eggs are placed in sand saying hard boiled - soft they are heated by candles and are all hardboiled. They had waffles which my kids got excited about but as they were as hard as bricks they got left.
Room size Bathroom too small Not very clean Wi fi not available
Convenient location. We walked to town at least ten times in two days. The food for breakfast was good and had a nice variety of cold foods.
Parking on the street but it was not as challenging as I initially thought. The receptionist offered to change my parking token every four hours which only amounted to twice during the day, at 1300 and 1700.
Location is good Friendly staff
- Very noisy room especially at night. -Fungus bathroom.
Location within walking distance from city centre. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy and correct payment with credit card. Ok though not great breakfast (guests are allocated to a time slot). The bed matras is soft and I can imagine not ideal for some other guests, but ok for me. Overall I found it difficult to find good value for money among hotels in Bruges.
Smallish bedroom with a tiny bathroom. TV not working, and free WiFi but with poor connection. You can park in the street freely for a couple of hours with a Belgian parking disc.
Lovely breakfast. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Good location about a 15 minute walk to the centre.
Room was small
Away from busy crowded town center; nice walk to windmills; breakfast was good. Staff helpful in storing luggage and planning trip to Ipres.
location, breakfast and helpfulness of staff
our triple room was a bit tight with three in it - fine probably if your 3rd person is a child but ours was 16!! The ensuite was also quite tight. The 2 double rooms we had were fine.
Location, night staff.
Cleanliness of rooms, hygiene of food.
Staff very helpful, comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Hotel is well placed for city centre, 5-10 minutes walk through picturesque streets.
All good no complaints about Hotel. Drivers: beware of Bicycles, they seem to have right of way at all times.
Lovely location and free parking. Good breakfast.
Nothing to dislike.
Good location , easy level walk to main shopping area. Good selection of continental breakfast. Room very clean. Could do with tea/ coffee making facility.
Ordered a double bed, got 2 singles with a double sheet over, very comfortable but not if you wake up in the middle. T.V terrible.. Staff at breakfast abrupt, not very welcoming or able to smile. Shower over bath curtain 2 short so very wet floor
Nice reception staff. We asked to change rooms as we could hear people walking above us- they let us swap our superior room to a normal double but unfortunately no refund on the superior. New room was nice and quiet though. Good location.
Room was very hot even though heating was off and outside was freezing!
Very helpful staff, speaks fluent English, good location, quiet, in a historic building
The TV signal in the room wasn't working. No english channels
The location is brilliant - its 10 minute walk from the main square, but located in some of the quieter streets which means you aren't kept awake by noisy crowds.
The staff could be a little abrupt at times when you asked questions. Room cleanliness - the service - they didn't empty bins, and the beds were made up quite shabbily.
Loved the breakfast.
Room was tight but comfortable. It was about a 10 walk into the town center, but the sights on the way we're lovely.
Reception staff were polite and helpful. The hotel was a pleasant 15 minute walk from the Markt. Good buffet breakfast. Attractively decorated for Christmas.
One of our 2 rooms was rather less acceptable than the other - no double glazing, tired decor, safe did not lock, no ventilation in tiny shower room, causing discolouration of grouting and excessive condensation, the corners of floor were dirty and the shower curtain was unhygienic! TV reception was very poor on all available channels - remote would not switch on TV. All pillows lumpy and bedding was stained. "Comfort" double room was really a basic twin.
Good breakfast warm room good bathroom Good location, not too central
Some staff were a bit abrupt no muesli at breakfast and little fresh fruit Our room was quite cramped
Location for the centre of town
Rude receptionist on arrival. Bed was very uncomfortable No tea or coffee facilities in the room Carpet had stains
