Our 4th visit over 4 years and by far the best. This time we booked a baroness room and it was fantastic. The hotel staff are extremely helpfull and professional.Breakfasts are superb with a huge choice. Bruges as a city is as they say, little Venice., |

The style of the hotel was fantastic. Old oak beams and big fireplaces. Like going back in time. The breakfasts were substantial. Plenty to choose from. Staff were friendly and happy couldnt do enough. |

I liked the central town position, the ambience of an old converted merchants house, the very helpful receptionists, and the delicious breakfasts, Only a slight quibble about the room being rather dark during the day. |

The staff were very helpful. The room service was good. The hotel was very pretty You need to ensure you ask for a double room rather than think it comes as standard |

Unique hotel, amazing decor. Very friendly staff. We stayed in a maids room which was advertised as very small, not the case. It was no smaller than many other rooms I've stayed in and they've made very good use of the space. The hotel bar and breakfast room are spectacular. I was envious of the large rooms over the back end of the hotel but I guess you get what you pay for. Free parking outside if you're lucky to get a space although you need to visit your car every 4 hours during the day to change time. Short walk from main square, could even hear the bells in the morning. |

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Location is good. Hotel room was a big disappointment. We stayed in one of the Duchess rooms, which was advertised as "beautiful duplex suite" and in fact is a tiny sitting room in a former horse stable - dark and not comfortable or inviting for a sit, and a tiny bedroom upstairs. All looked quite worn-out: old carpets, water stains on walls, old small TV. Furniture looked chip and time-worn as well. In general we thought it was absolutely not a 4 star hotel standard and very overpriced (€250/night) for that poor quaility |

Relaxed atmosphere, courtious front staff, friendly, helpful,thoughtful...down to umbrellas available at front. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in room. |

I stayed in a triple room & it was very spacious, far more than expected & not simply an extra bed in a double room. In fact the room was lovely with open beams & a mezzanine floor. The breakfast buffet is delicious & varied, there is something for everyone from cereal to smoked salmon. The reception staff were extremely pleasant & very helpful, offering advice & information freely. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bruges. |

The breakfast is quite good. But to be honest, the room is not that nice. I feel like in a hostel. |

Beautifully decorated and furnished hotel. Gardens are lovely. The Maid's room isn't good - too warm, no windows (except for one in the ceiling), no extractor fan in the toilet... |

The location near the centre of the old city of Bruges is great. The service is excellent. We had a small room that was inexpensive but we still got the full services of the hotel. |

The peace and quiet despite the city location. A minimal emphasis on food which makes the accommodation incomplete. The mixture of old and modern did not work. Some unhappy contemporary features. Poor lighting in bedroom. No tea/coffee facility in bedroom. Expensive but few frills. |

The breakfast was excellent. Centrally located. The wifi did not work in our room on the second floor. We asked the staff several times to rectify the problem and they ignored the requests until finally admitting that they knew of the problem yet were unwilling to fix it. They should not advertise wifi throughout the hotel if they cannot deliver. Also, the electricity will not turn on without the room key, so on a hot night after a late dinner, the room was stifling hot until about 6am.The water temperature in the shower kept changing temperatures and made for an extremely irritating experience. |
