The staff were amazing and so helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a quiet side street but close enough to reach the centre and other attractions. Beakfast was fab!
Nothing not to like. It was perfect.
Everything was wonderful We highly recommend anyone to stay there. We loved the staff and the accommodations!
The location and very helpful staff would go back again and again we did enjoy our stay very much. The building and it's history was a bonus pleasant gardens to sit out in and read the papers.
Excellent location, courteous and efficient staff, and fantastic breakfast.
The room was an good size with tea/coffee facilities and a clean and spacious bathroom. Close to the centre.
A little way from the railway centre but taxi available.
Very good location Helpful staff Fireplaces are awesome Garden is wonderful Good breakfast Comfortable bed and cosy room
The AC in the room wasn't working. This was communicated to the staff who tried to get someone to come repair, however the parts were not available until the next day. Nothing was offered to us in return for our inconvenience. This is disappointing considering we paid for comfort and quality and didn't get it.
Classic. Almost everything except the mosquitoes.
A bit expensive for us. In summer (August), it's too warm if we don't open the window in the evening. But that brought mosquitoes in also. I couldn't sleep well because of that.
Excellent breakfast very comfortable and spacious room
The staircase up to our room was terrifying
The breakfast wasn't great but so many places to eat so no issue
The building, the common rooms and bar The gardens He locatikn, great staff
From the moment you walk into Hotel Jan Brito there is an air of relaxation and attentiveness to your every need! The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful -- from finding us a late night restaurant to renting us hotel bikes -- and never to busy to answer a question with a smile. (Thank you, Marcus!) The grounds are fabulous with a sumptuous garden in the center where we could relax with refreshments or gather to plan our day. The hotel is well appointed with everything a traveller needs and all the little extras that make it feel luxurious (shower caps, mini bar, foreign newspapers). We stayed 2 nights with our teenaged sons in the family room loft. It felt like two rooms and the boys were thrilled to be at the top of the hotel with views out over the city inside a historic, 15th century room (with the wooden beams and all). The breakfast was extensive and delicious in a fabulous dining room with photos on the wall of the last countess who lived in the property. The on-site bike rental was a plus, as it took no time at all to rent bikes and return them late one night after dinner. The bikes were great (including lights and locks) and a wonderful way to see Brugge and its winding cobblestone streets and canals that circle the old city, lined with windmills. The bike paths are extensive and scenic. We were able to cover a lot of ground with the bikes. Hotel Jan Brito was perfect in every way -- very close to the populated historic city center, yet a few blocks retreat into a more quiet neighborhood. There was a public parking garage a block away, and the hotel arranged our reservation there. We can't say enough about this marvelous hotel and staff -- 5 stars! Very highly recommended! We will be back to Hotel Jan Brito!
The location is great. Staff are helpful and friendly. Room is historic and roomy. Breakfast - a really good selection.
Room was too warm. But air con was fine and windows open!
Very good location. Quite relaxing.
Location, atmosphere, staff- everything!
We love Bruges and your hotel is exquisite. A perfect resting place with your extremely pretty garden, wonderful breakfasts and we thought the hotel decor was just so in keeping with your beautiful city
Comfy quiet air conditioned rooms. Close to a small park for a quick stroll with the dog. Tea and coffee in the room.
Not really pet friendly. You can't take your dog in the bar or dining room. In fact the only place for them is in your room.
We absolutely love it. calm, gorgeous, cosy... inside garden. Peacefull. 5 mn to city center. Beautiful bar, Typical sixteenth century hotel. Lots of old paintings, furniture, floortiles. An enchantment.
Breakfast, rooms, location
Second time back at this lovely hotel, the welcome was friendly with very helpful staff, room was clean and spacious with air con! . We were able to leave bags in the morning so we didn't have to carry them around until check in at 3pm. Location of hotel couldn't be better. Beautiful building and will definitely be back again.
Staff. Very helpful, Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
Room was dirty. Smelled humid and dusty. Definetely not worth the high price we paid. It's advertised as a four star hotel, but it is not.
Air con was not very efficient
Interesting, traditional setting and room furnishings. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely courtyard garden. Good range of breakfasts foods, hot and cold, provided in the beautiful formal dining room.
We had an overnight stay in this pretty little hotel. All members of staff that we met were very friendly and helpful. Room was small but very comfortable.
Tiny TV in the bedroom. Sausages, scrambled eggs and bacon at breakfast were cold.
