absolutely greta breakfast! Nice locaiotn as well, walking distance to everything in the city. The hotel only has a few rooms, which makes it very intimate and designed to welcome couples who would like to make have a romantic weekend.
The room was not very big and there was no elevator.
from the moment we walked in we were welcomed by the owners who were extremely friendly and their guidance and suggestions on what to do, where to go and the nicest places to eat helped us enjoy the trip more, the room was a good size with everything we needed and a very comfortable bed and a lovely view of the tower. we both enjoyed the breakfast which was obviously fresh and was a nice variety we would definitely stay again if we were ever in brugge in the future.
there was nothing in the hotel I could say I didn't like, the only thing in the trip I didn't like was the fact the band stand in koningin astridpark was covered for maintenance (not the hotels fault)
no mirror in room, sorted v quickly
Good position, lovely people, €85 reasonable for the position other rooms looked better than ours at top. Great cosy cellar bar lovely breakfast and again thanks to Hans & Peggy for a great welcome, if we return to Bruges we would stay here
No parking but that's no surprise in centre of medieval city
Great location, close to the market square, friendly staff, easy to find. I would recommend this family run hotel.
Breakfast included and a great location
Poor wifi reception in room 2
Managed by the owner who is a delight. The hotel retains some of its historical features and that made it somewhat special. It is close to the central square and handy for shopping and sites - including the Frite Museum!!
City centre location Friendly staff Relaxed atmosphere Great breakfast
Location, attentiveness of staff, great breakfast. Help with bags was really great.
Stairs to room, steep on third floor
The beauty of Bruges was very easy to experience as this hotel is just a short walk from the town center. The hotel is very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. The warmth and helpfulness of the hotel owners was the best part! They were more than willing to suggest local highlights and recommend ways we could maximize out visit.
Very convenient location, Excellent breakfast, Very helpful staff
Hans was a great host. Very friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with hospitality.
A hotel with so much character. Built in 1300 with wooden beams but also providing excellent modern facilities. A lovely breakfast with staff who couldn't do enough for you, outstanding hotel '
Location, breakfast, breakfast room, good Wi-Fi.
No help on leaving with our luggage even though on 3rd floor and no lift.
Facilities - no safe to begin with, no remote, nowhere to put your stuff in the shower, holes in sheet/pillow case Welcome - it took ages to check in and other customers behind us were dealt with first. It's not a huge deal, but the reception could have been more attentive and said "apologies while I deal with so and so, I'll be with you in a minute". Just wasn't a great first impression.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was about 20 mins walking (over cobbled streets) distance from the train station, situated in a very quiet road and yet close to local shops and restaurants. The hotel is run by Hans and his mother, both of whom were charming and extremely helpful, providing an efficient yet friendly service. The breakfast was superb and plentiful and was served in a very pleasant dining room. Plenty of storage space in the bedroom and the bathroom was spotless. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
The only downside was in our room where there were insufficient sockets and the carpet would have benefited with a clean. A mirror in the bedroom would have been useful. There was a mirror on the inside of the bathroom door but this couldn't be viewed when the bathroom was occupied and the door was shut.
The superior rooms are ideal, plenty spacious enough. A delightful continental Breakfast in the morning was delightful. friendly staff and its so close to the Main Market Square of Brugges
Amazing staff, who made us feel incredibly welcome, and were really lovely to our baby.
Bed wasn't very comfy
This is a family run hotel. The owner Hans greeted me personally at my arrival. It is very well located 3-4 blocks from the central market (Belfort) and in a very quiet street. 15-20 min walk from central station. Full breakfast with eggs is included. Has a nice bar underground. Free wifi all around the hotel. Nice room and bathroom with all you need for your stay.
Location is excellent. Couldn't be better. It feels more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. Very nice. It's got free wi-fi in the bedrooms. The staff is looking after every possible need of their customers.
Room could be a bit better. But all in all very good value for money.
Excellent location and helpful staff. The breakfast is nice. The room is spacious and comfortable.
smallest room and 2 floors up,only hot food at breakfast was boiled egg, and that was overcooked
Stayed at this hotel 12 years ago. It was good then and even better now. Very friendly and helpful owners/staff. Breakfast was a good continental buffet (plenty to choose from). Room was large and recently refurbished to s good dtsndard. The hotel is close to the centre, within easy walking distance of main sites. Will definitely stay here again.
Minor issue was that WiFi was available but at a slow bit rate.
Greta, the owner, is very accommodating and really works hard to make you feel at home and to give helpful instructions on what to see and where to go. Breakfast was very well done. Location is quiet and still very close to church for Sunday mass and close to central market.
We has a room that was a third floor (Greta called it the second floor) walk-up. There is no elevator. If you have bad knees, beware. Also, availability of towels and washcloths were inconsistent. We had a washcloth our first day only. The other 2 days, nothing. Also, only one towel between us on one day. Finally, note that very few places in Brugge take American Express credit cards. Most, including this hotel, only take Visa or MasterCard, which may charge a 3% transaction fee, adding to your cost of a vacation.
