Just outside Ypres, you’ll find the cozy family hotel of Flanders Lodge, with a nice atrium restaurant and the charm of a log cabin.

Ideal location to visit Ypres and the surrounding WW1 sites
Our room was situated in the modern annexe building next to the hotel. It was extremely spacious and very clean. There was also access to a communal kitchen on the ground floor of this building which had a microwave, cooker, fridge and kettle - very useful. We would certainly return to this hotel again.
Ease of access, breakfast times, chance to use self catering facility
room clean and tidy and the shower was very good.
misleading main picture on advert.seemed that all guest at this time of year ( january ) are located in a annex some distance from the main building..
the rooms were lovely and warm, very comfortable,
We had no car and the hotel is quite a bit outside the main town, the local buses are fairly scarce at the weekend, but i,m sure most people who stayed here had a car
Lovely large room, lovely and warm, nice comfortable bed, freindly staff will be returning in summer and staying longer the only thing we would have liked is tea and coffee making facility in room
Rooms were very similar to premier inn layout, very warm, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms very modern, great bath and shower.
A little bit noisy re people leaving and entering rooms, doors were quit loud closing.
This hotel is right in the middle of were WWI was. Was so interesting to be in this area. We learn so much. The hotel looked like a very old building but was not there at that time period. We went in late Dec was cold, windy and rainy so the halls of hotel were cold but was able to get room warm. The breakfast was very good. Breads were very nice. Would stay if I was to be in area again.
Hotel was cold.
Lovely large, comfortable and clean bedrooms in a new building.
Hotel restaurant in need of upgrading.
Been here before and like the rooms, friendly staff and great location for Ypres and memorials. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent and will happily return to stay again.
The accommodation was spotless and clean, very handy to the amenities
This hotel along with the whole of ypres has stepped up it's friendliness, appeal, and attitude towards commonwealth visitors. This hotel has invested in new accomodation.
We were in the new building which was great. Location was very good for visiting the sites.
If you didn't want to drive into Ypres it was about 4km.
room in new block very nice
breakfast was manic everyone trying to get food and drink from one small table
The restaurant in the old building served good food at a reasonable price & we enjoyed our evening there.
We were placed in the new building which is not mentioned on their website - very stark clinical business hotel style, not the farmhouse traditional style pictured which drew us to this hotel. Our room felt like a hospital ward.
More than ticked all the boxes for a 3* Hotel, situated opposite the old town boundary and a short walk fromain station. We had a large room with balcony.
The main lobby felt clinical.
Lovely hotel on historical site. Great base for exploring Ypres and surrounding area. Staff friendly and helpful . Great little bar area and excellent restaurant in evening.
Rooms a little dated, but adds to the quirkiness of the hotel.
Good food, comfortable room, family run hotel, good selection of beers, centre of the Great War sites, not far from Ypres, easy parking,I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and will book this Hotel again, highly recommended
The access to Ypres was very good as well as its proximity to the cemeteries and museums.
I thought that the hotel was a bit stark and cold. The food was good, if a touch on the expensive side.
It had free parking.
The Kitchen was closed on Sunday so we couldn't get any food. There was no lighting in the corridor at night. Beware of the Fun park next to door it is noisy.
The great location The homely atmosphere Very friendly staff
Sometimes disturbance of sleep with the floorboards above Needs some modernisation
Location. Good choice at breakfast.
The beds were awful. Bathroom needs updating. No tea or coffee facilities in room. Towels very poor. Hotel could do with overhaul. Chairs uncomfortable in room. Staff never in evidence.
Quaint, so near to history lovely setting
Location of Hotel Plenty of free parking Good breakfast Friendly and helpful staff Cleanliness Warmth of all rooms
The hotel is full of character and in beautiful grounds with it's own WWI tunnels and crater. There are additional bedrooms that are based in a building next door which looked much more modern than the original hotel so make sure to check where your room will be if you want the older version! Our room was spacious and immaculate with everything we needed. The dining room and bar were lovely and the breakfast was very fresh. I can't understand why this is only a 3 star hotel, it should be 4 star at least - it's perfect as a base for battlefield tours! I'm already planning my return!
