I did not look at any of the reviews as I was in a hurry. I wished that I had. Whilst on face value the price seemed okay considering the picktures showed a decent hotel. I should have realsied on looking at the receprtion area that things would not be that good. My first view on looking into the room was omg. The carpet and decor was ready for a change out. Scruffy was I word I brought to mind. The tv was from the ark. The cupboard was pressed wood, and one piece of hinge was plastic that neeeded fixing. To be fair the bed was comfortable, clean cotton sheets, piilow was okay. Breakfast room pleaseing to the eye, and plenty to eat, of a choice of early morning meals ( No scrambled egg or bacon that I could see) As I have travelled all ove europe I have to rate this one as a 4. Reccommendations. Refurbish the whole hotel. The owner was pleasent enough but then again they have to be. Whole hotel needs refurbishing.

Two very large room for a family of 4 persons at a resonnable price. Avoid to go to go to Antwerpen between the 31 december and the 2d of january : everythink (including museums) is closed. The lobby does not give a good idea of the comfort of the hotel.

The hotel is located centrally in Antwerp, the Airport Express bus stops near the hotel, central station and anything else (shops, historic center) is also very close. The staff was very polite and helpful (thanks!). Breakfast was nice, with a good selection of food, which changed a bit every day. The only thing I did not like, was that you have to pay for the wifi and that it was quite expensive (13 Euro for 24 hours).

The second member of staff was very helpful at reception the first greeting we received seemed very uninterested It was a from entering the room a deep pity.Going through reception I felt sure the hotel would live up to what we paid for it.Also breakfast being served in a poorly re organised bedroom was a massive letdown

The receptionist when we arrived was helpful, had a pleasant manner, and was able to give advice re. Dining out and places of interest. We were travelling as a trio of cyclists and were a bit disappointed that the hotel had no secure indoor storage facility for our bikes.

Perfectly situated right behind Central Station and Astridplein Ideally situated hotel. Completely worn out rooms & facilities. No 3 stars by any definition (probably earned by location). Nice, friendly staff. Good for a one night stay in a clean bed, but that's it.

I was looking for an inexpensive no-frills hotel between the train station and the old city and the Keyserlei did not disappoint. The staff was friendly, the room facing the back was quiet (although walls were thin), and the room was clean (but certainly not modern). Although not "dirty", the whole place does look a bit tattered: peeling wallpaper, random furniture, industrial carpet. But I didn't want to spend more than $100 a night and didn't really expect more.

Our beds (two singles pushed together) seemed clean and were very comfortable. The room was very old and worn, our bathroom smelled terrible despite looking clean, like the toilet was broken.

The location was very good. The rooms were nice, clean and fairly roomy. The bathroom was nicely tiled everywhere, and the sink was very attractive. The shower nozzle was simply the worst I have ever experienced. (Everything else was just fine.)

Friendly staff, central location. It's an old hotel, but clean. Rooms are big, beds too, microwave and fridge in the room. Front rooms on busy road, back rooms on courtyard with offices, so nowhere nice views. Bathroom is old, not to big but clean and functioning. Temperature in the room is not adjustable (wintertime: very hot in room). Curtains are keeping the light out perfectly. Breakfast is very basic but sufficient. Breakfastroom is small but you can take food to your room. Sounds from the hallway and other rooms are entering the room slightly. Hotel is by foot 2min to trainstation, 2 min to shopping, 25 min to museums (Photo, muhka, kmska), 12 min to Grote markt. This is a very basic hotel but if you just need a bed it is oke.
