While the location was supreme, the facilities were anything but. I was a solo traveller and had one of the smallest rooms, I think. Everything was very old and not in a charming way. I could tell they tried making some modern updates to my room, but to be honest it was basically a failure. I stayed there one night, after a long day of taking in the beautiful and picturesque scenery Bruges has to offer all I wanted to to was take a warm shower, but that was too much to ask for at this hotel. I got into the tiny old dated and not so clean shower and started lathering, in the process of lathering my whole body with the one packet of duo hair and body gel the hotel supplied (I guess my €90 didn't cover more shower supplies), all the hot water stopped working, I was left with ice cold water trickling out of the shower head, after calling reception soaking wet and lathered in soap the very friendly lady said three men were working on the hot water problem. I then waited an hour in the shower for the hot water to come back. The next morning I took another shower, this time there was hot water! Woohoo! However, because the bathroom was so cheaply laid out I had to keep the soap on the ledge above the sink next to the shower while I was in the shower, a mirror framed with metal was above this shelf, there must have been some sort of electrical problem with the light fixture that was touching this metal frame because every time I touched the frame I got a shock!! Overall my experience in this shower was the worst I have ever encountered. The beds were strange also... They felt like rubber, just very strange.
Faaantastic location! This hotel was right in the center of Bruges with just minutes even seconds walking to Bruges main attractions!
