We really appreciated the warm welcome from Monique and Fred. A great deal of tourist information was provided and we had their phone number in case of difficulty. This is a spacious, well equipped and comfortable house with an equally large garden. We enjoyed the shade of the apple tree in the very hot weather we had. We took full advantage of the loungers and outdoor table and chairs provided. It would be great for children. Chiny is an attractive village, near the river Semois. We enjoyed a very good meal at Le Foyer. Florenville , 5 minutes away,had supermarkets, restaurants and a helpful tourist information office. Many interesting spots are within half an hour's drive, ( eg Bouillon , Orval, Herboumont ). In the vicinity there are also many beautiful and varied walks, all well marked. We don't understand why more English people don't visit this lovely area.

This 2-bedroom cottage rests in Chiny in the Belgian Ardennes region. The cottage has a private roofed terrace to enjoy great evenings with barbecued meals and open a bottle of wine. The cottage is ideal for a family or group of 4 persons. There are no boring moments on holiday here. At 7 km, you will find the Orval Abbey, with its famous regional beer. For nature lovers, there are numerous paths nearby to explore on foot or by bike. Take a centuries-old typical descent by boat, departing in Chiny. You can find peace and quiet in the natural beauty of the 8 km of meanders of the Semois. At 0.5 km, you will find the town center, restaurants, and supermarkets. The cottage has indoor heating for comfort and allows a pet for a small fee. You can sit by the fireplace in the sitting room to spend time together. When the sun is up, you can lie down and relax in the fenced garden. A high chair and a children's bed are provided for little guests. Parking and bicycles are available.
