Quiet, friendly hosts, great breakfast
Poor bed, little temperature control, no tv
Owners were very accommodating even giving us a lift to the station for the train to Brussels. Couldn't have been more helpful. Good breakfast
Room was occupied when we arrived, not entirely the owners fault and they were most apologetic but it was 7pm!
The community area provided was great. Large fridge freezer, cooking and seating facilities were a bonus. Lovely breakfast in the most beautiful, and interesting house. We were made very welcome, and loved our stay. Great place if visiting Waterloo, which we loved, especially the museums.
Nothing, although it might be wise to mention any mobility issues, as the stairs were quite steep. However, there is a ground floor room.
Breakfast Facilities Large bathroom Not very expensive Comfortable bed Appearance of the room
Dirty room, lots of dust en small death animals Just a bit of water in the shower
Stylish, attractive room, spacious. Helpful manager.
Wifi was a bit wobbly. Bed mattress was OK but somewhat lain in
Charming renovated 1775 farm building - host was exceptionally helpful with info/recommendations for our questions - made extra effort to make dinner reservation for us - exceptional breakfast
Stair was a little steep and lightweight to negotiate with large suitcases
Beautiful building, room, breakfast room, in quiet location. Good information pack.
No Wi-Fi in room
Nice room and lounge space available. Off street parking. Good breakfast.
Very thoughtful hosts. Excellent location for the Waterloo battlefield. Good communal room.
Poor wifi. Very weak shower pressure. Difficult stairs to some bedrooms. Limited parking.
The facility was absolutely welcoming given the fact that the day I arrived it pretty much rained all day with no breaks! Belgian/Brussels summer. Delightful charming and great Value for money, I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends if they wanted to say outside of Brussels, near Waterloo.
The communal area was cold around the evening and was not utilised therefore was not so welcoming. The room and other facilities made up for it.
Very clean, very spacious, lovely breakfast, great facilities, wonderful hosts. The hosts made a wonderful effort to communicate with us and ensure we were comfortable. Great value for money.Good location.
Everything was great. We did worry about our elderly parents and the stairs and realized we should have requested a downstairs room for them.
The history of the establishment, super frendly Jenny who went out of her way to kae us feel like home. A great place to stay!
Lack of cleanliness and dampness.
Charming young couple/ charming house
The owners were very welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and the friendliness and service couldn't have been better. Few areas of the room needed attention but for and overnight stay and proximity to Waterloo and eating places most acceptable.
Owners very friendly and helpful, providing a very good breakfast. Lovely people
Certainly would not pass the health and safety guides n UK.. Do not take young children there.
Helpful and friendly staff (once the language barrier is broken) A great historical building. Within walking distance of the Waterloo memorial. Great breakfast!
Need more English lessons.
Very welcoming ideal for a visit to battlefield of Waterloo
to be made part of the family
Lovely family living in a beautiful house with a very personal-Moroccan touch, totally different experience from the hotel style.
Found strange the room was not cleaned up but as I said, you give up some of the hotel comforts to get a lot in return and you end up feeling at home.
Our hosts, Benoit and Jennifer, went out of there way to help us, which we really appreciated. Our room was very comfortable though my husband did keep hitting his head on the light fitting which was a bit low.
Very quiet. Friendly host.
Very warm and friendly owner, very welcoming and considerate. Breakfast was excellent: a wide selection of food to suit all tastes. Magnificent and fascinating house, a real must for those with taste and artistic interest. Bedroom was delightfully decorated, tasteful and thoughtfully presented. We very strongly recommend La Grange Des Marnieres to anyone. Every aspect of our stay was superb. We wish we could have stayed much longer.
