Hotel La Legende  

The reception late in the evening was excellent - very friendly and efficient. The single room was quiet and comfortable, looking over a courtyard. Free wifi and a safe. Good modernised bathroom. The location is good, within a few steps of the Grand Place, though at least ten minutes from the Central Station.

The breakfast was ordinary, not great value for €10. Nothing to do with the hotel but be careful of the Central Station at night. It was almost deserted and an unpleasant attempt was made to distract me there and steal my laptop.

The hotel itself was very attractive and quaint, and it's location was completely perfect and central. The staff was very kind and helped us arrange an early check out and reserved a taxi for us for a very early morning flight. The rooms were clean, modern, and attractive, and overall bright and very comfortable. A definite value for it's price in Brussels.

Upon check in, we had to wait around 30 minutes for our room to be cleaned and ready. However, not a long wait, and the staff was accommodating to us while we were waiting.

Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Excellent position of the hotel in relation to Ls Grande Place & Mannequin Pis. Close to many good eateries.

I would have preferred a more comfortable chair in the room and the beds not to glide across the room at every opportunity

The location is great.

The Internet connectivity is very bad.

We liked everything about the Hotel. The breakfast was quite nice, and the coffee was excellent.

This was our second trip to la Legende - we loved it last time and this time it was just as good or even better. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we were given a very warm welcome. We opted for an executive room this year which was lovely. The buffet breakfast is excellent and the location ( a minute from the Grande place and from the mannekin pis) is unbeatable. Around Christmas they have brilliant decorations and a wonderful display in the courtyard! very festive. We love it, we're hoping to come again next year.

Friendly staff, cleanliness of room, central position. Quiet in room away from the street.

Bedroom & bathroom quite small. No shower curtain. Quite a big bed took up most of the minimal floor space with the remaining space around the bed not made best use of. Eg the refrigerator could have been located in clear space under basin in bathroom, as it is in other hotels. The free standing wardrobe is in the way & not best use of space. A bit of a narrower bed & using more of the vertical space in the room would help.

Beds were comfortable. Excellent free wifi. Cute Christmas decorations.

Spartan room. Thin walls.

The staff were all friendly & helpful. Courtyard facing room was not at all noisy. The location was fantastic for sightseeing & shopping. Bathroom was spacious enough with just a shower which I prefer. The Christmas Grotto in the courtyard was lovely.

I booked an executive room but the room I had was fairly standard. There was nowhere to sit in the room but the receptionist assured me this was an executive room. The room could not really have been any smaller and still contain all the essentials. The bed was too soft and the wooden floor worn. For the price I paid breakfast should really have been included.

Service, location, design,value for money

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It's really close to public transit (like Brussels Gare Central) and to tourist sites (with the Mannekin Pis just around the block). The receptionist at the desk when I arrived was extremely helpful. He answered my questions (such as where to find the Comic Book museum), suggested restaurants that would not be just for tourists, and also told me that the Xmas market had begun--so glad he did! He also let me know that breakfast was served in the morning for an extra charge. The other receptionist that I saw when I left the next day was equally pleasant and efficient. The bathroom had a tub and was stocked withe basic toiletries. I would definitely stay here again if I were to be in Brussels.

The rooms are decent-sized but may seem small to some and I couldn't figure out how to turn on the tv but neither bothered me very much.
