I had asked for a quiet room as we are a mature couple and we had a room at the back overlooking the river - bliss! The breakfast was lovely and we were well catered for.

Nothing really, we were very happy with the hotel.

Perfect location and good value for money. Nice breakfast. Free parking.

People with mobility problems may have trouble. Many staircases.

showering in the bath without a showercurtain or something makes a bathroom messy... (but in our opinion a small minor detail compared to the great hotel itself!)

Location : in town and close to the Christmas-market. Breakfast was just like we prefer : very good. Chambers : nice, clean, good bed. The family that runs it , very friendly and helpfull.

Price/quality: the best you can get!

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast for a 2* hotel. Short walk into town.Parking easy (at the back of the hotel). BBC television. Happy to recommend this hotel.

A Belgian friend recommended Durbuy to us as a holiday destination, and after reviewing all the hotels in the town (actually it's a city although very small) we decided on La Librairie because of its private parking, and also the good reviews it had been given despite having only two stars. The location is excellent being close to the centre and on the main road into town so easy to find, and it backs onto the river - to gain access to the car park you have to negotiate a narrow and steep driveway between two buildings, which leads down to a little lane alongside the river. There is a long outside staircase up to the hotel from the car park, but staff will help with bags if asked. At the front of the hotel is a newsagent/gift shop which is another way in to the hotel during shop hours (the reception is in the shop). Breakfast is a self-service buffet with the usual selection of continental foods plus excellent coffee, taken in a small breakfast room or on the raised terrace overlooking the river if weather permits. The breakfast room is locked outside shop hours, when guests must use a private door at the front of the hotel. Our room overlooked the river and was very clean and of contemporary design, with a comfortable bed and a good sized shower room with toilet and washbasin. Heating worked well (we visited in October.) There are no restaurant facilities but there are plenty of good restaurants in Durbuy, which could be walked around in an hour's stroll. Staff are friendly and helpful and most have at least some English. Considering the location and free parking, we found the prices very reasonable. We enjoyed our stay and would definately use this hotel again.

The very friendly and helpful staff of this family run hotel, the fact that the wi-fi was free (even though the hotel description says otherwise!), the quality of the breakfast, the location relative to the centre of town (five minutes walk - close but still quiet), the view from our room and the free parking.

Wonderful family run hotel situated in a quaint little village, lovely room with a great view of the river and the Topiary gardens. Great buffet breakfast with plenty of selections to choose from. The staff in the hotel were excellent and very friendly, this was the highlight to our stay in this hotel.

Comfortable, friendly & convenient to amenities.

We had been to Burbuy many times but had never stayed there, What a lovely surprise to find this small friendly hotel in town. It is everything you want. We had a clean and comfortable room. Fresh towels daily, plenty of hot water and a delicious buffet breakfast every morning. The owners were charming and really cared about their guests. Be aware, that if you enter the hotel from the carpark, there are a steep set of steps to climb but you can always use the front entrance and miss that external staircase altogether, This is a small hotel offering a room and breakfast. There are no other facilities. But, it is in a perfect position. Leave the hotel by the front entrance and you are in town. Leave by the back entrance via the car park and you have riverside walks on your door step. We spent our evenings having dinner and people watching in one of the many restaurants in Durbuy, then best of all, a short stroll back to the hotel. For us, the Hotel La Librairie was ideal.

In principe was alles goed. Lekker ruime kamers en een zeer goed ontbijt.

De bedden waren uitstekend. Het uitzicht was prachtig. Heerlijk kleinschalig. Het ontbijtbuffet uitgebreid en heel smakelijk. Prima hotel.

Eigenlijk niets.

Buitengewoon gastvrij en vriendelijk. Schoon en comfortabel. Prettig om een gerserveerde parkeerplek te hebben. Mooie uitgangspositie voor bezoeken in de omgeving. Durbuy is een erg mooi stadje! Wij komen hier graag weer.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Uitgebreid ontbijt. Prima kamer, kraaknet. Je kon er op de vloer eten (bij wijze van spreken). Ontbijt mag voor mij vanaf 7u30 I.P.V. 8u30, maar ik twijfel er niet aan, mocht ik dit gevraagd hebben, dit wel had gekund.

Wij zijn uiterst tevreden. Zowel de accommodatie als het onthaal waren uitmuntend.

Ontbijt mooi gereserveerd, voldoende rustig om te slapen familiaal hotel, klein en gezellig konden ons uitdrukken in het nederlands

In badkamer tegen venster eventueel folie plakken tegen binnen kijken, dan moet gordijn niet naar beneden en kan je de vensterbank gebruiken voor toiletartikelen op te leggen

Personeel dat nl spreekt is heel erg prettig. Prima kamer. Goed ontbijt. Het is een hotel om in te slapen en verder is het beter om op pad te zijn elke dag.

De matrassen zijn vreselijk zoals in veel hotels. Verder niets.

Het onthaal was zeer goed, ze waren ongelooflijk vriendelijk; kunnen goed Nederlands en het ontbijt was in orde, ik raad iedereen aan om dit hotel te nemen

voor mij persoonlijk omdat ik ook al 82 jaar ben vond ik het jammer dat er geen lift was
