La Pomme d’Or is located in the heart of Oudenaarde, beautifully situated right across from the famous Gothic town hall. La Pomme d'Or is the ideal place for a vacation in the historic center of Oudenaarde. The hotel, situated on the market square (just across from the town hall), is open every day and has 10 luxury rooms. Each room has a double bed, separate bathroom, air conditioning, TV with DVD-player, safe, telephone and wireless internet. In the morning a royal breakfast-buffet is served. Really central, friendly, good breakfast up until 10.00hrs, clean, comfortable and easily located with free parking 5 mins walk away. Nice touch with small decanter of port and chocolates in the room. Both heating and air-con available in the room to get a perfect temperature. Appeared popular for non-guests to have coffee, meals etc. Recommended. The building site behind which created an horrific noise from 0645hrs onwards, but not the hotel's fault.

Friendly staff and comfortable and quiet room. Don't miss the hour tour of the city hall across the street. Also the restaurant in the hotel next door specializes in quail dishes. There are two varieties with wonderful sauces.

The man at reception was very helpful on arrival. We were on a cycling trip and he helped us with our luggage and found us a safe place for our bikes at the back of the hotel. The room had (as promised) a dramatic view of the old town hall and the market place directly opposite. Waking up to see the square full of stalls on market day was quite sensational! (Not so good if you're travelling by car, but the hotel does warn you not to park there on market day!) The room itself had good sound insulation and we were not disturbed at all by the early preparations for the market.In the evening we ate in the hotel's Bistro where the food was good and reasonably priced. The breakfast next morning was excellent and the service good. No criticisms whatsoever.

Location of the hotel is fantastic, and the complimentary carafe of port went down very well. We ate the first night at the hotel bistro, and were very happy with the quality and price of the food. Things got a bit noisy at night, but we sort of expected that on Friday and Saturday since we had a room overlooking the town square. Parking was not expensive, but free is always better.

Le confort de la chambre et le charme de l'hotel. Le restaurant "le bistrot" est cher pour ce qu'il propose en réalité. Le petit déjeuner est très mediocre par rapport au prix. Les croissants rassis, de la confiture sous vide, un grille pain débranché. Nous avons demandé des oeufs coques qui sont arrivés durs au bout de 15 minutes d'attente alors que nous étions les seuls clients.

Vriendelijk, schoon, in 't centrum, prima restaurant Beetje griezelige lift, klonk soms alsof hij bleef hangen en deed dat daadwerkelijk wanner je te dicht bij de deur kwam, anderzijds altijd beter dan bagage de trap op sjouwen.

Alles was perfect ! Goede ligging met parkeer mogenlijkheid. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, en charmante kamers. Het eten was overheerlijk. We hebben er zeker van genoten.!

De uitstekende bediening en vriendelijk personeel. Jammer van het straatlawaai. op een vrijdagavond is een kamer langs de straatkant niet aangenaam. Jammer want het uitzicht op het stadhuis is adembenemend.
