“ The staff was very nice, and was english speaking. As mentioned, breakfast is included and contains simple but good ingredients. Overall we did not pay much- but we received a whole lot in terms of hospitality and kindness! Not perfect but good location as well. Very recommended for broke young people like us. ”

It was me and my mother travelling to Brussels and we stayed in this hotel for several nights. Staff was really nice, friendly and helpful. Their English was good as well. Location is not bad, near to tram station which takes you to the city centre in 7 min. Our room was clean and neat, breakfast was simple but really enough to start your day.

Only 3 tram stops from Gare du Nord, the wide view from the 5th floor rooms, watching the trains go by, the room and toilets are clean. The hotel is undergoing some major renovation (may 2013) Slightly seedy neighbourhood, noise from the trainyard nearby, this is definitely more a budget-type hotel but certainly not as bad as what people have been writing about it.

With this price the hotel was quite good. We love the staff as they were very cheerful and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the room smelling like cigaratte.

Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was good with fresh pastries and good coffee. Locatin was in a rundown area and I did not feel safe walking through the area at night.

The gentleman on reception was lovely and friendly. It was absolutely filthy and disgusting condition. 2 stars is far too overrated! The place should be a condemned building.

Bad rooms. Very stained bed spreads. Although they did change my first room the bed spreads were not any better. I didnt complain much about the second room because i knew all rooms would have the same set of rubbish furniture and beds. Room felt like a prison. The locality was even more dodgy. One of the worst hotels i have ever been in. Always felt when that 1 night would end......... Never think a hotel should give u that feeling....

Its a not expencive place, near tram stop "Princess Elizabeth", they have everything for travellers, shower, hot water, bed, TV, WiFi. Breakfast not big but fine, and fresh. Once again this is a good place for single travellers but not for families,IF you need place just for sleep, or eat a sandwich in the morning then go for a walk all day, this hotel for you. I Returned very late, all is calm. This is a Muslim area and residents are very peaceful Far from center

This hotel is advertised as 'central' it is far from that; in fact its way outside. The staff were busy on the phone and just gave me my keys without a word. The room was 'grim' and the area a bit iffy.

We really enjoyed our stay the staff were so firendly and really helpful. The basic breakfast and the fact that the card machine wasn't working so we had to take out cash whiched charged us alot as we have international cards. We were also told we could use cards in a cab so the reception ordered us one and once in the cab realised we could only pay with cash so had to take out cash again and incurred more charges.

- Free WiFi everywhere in the hotel; - Free Breakfast; - City tax included (although most of the hotels in Brussels do not include either the city tax or breakfast) - The staff could speak english - The building was really old; - The sink in my bathroom was leaking and they only managed to fix it after the second night of my stay; - The location is not good, nothing interesting around and I had to make at least 2 transportation changes to go to the city center

No positive feedback for this hotel. The room was totally unusable. It smelled horrible, everything was stained, the toilet barely flushed, the staff was a little aggressive, and the heater was set on high without an off switch. Hotel la Potiniere was a nightmare. My friend and I left about forty minutes after we arrived. There is no way I could have spent a night in a blood stained sweat lodge.

The location is far from city centre but close to Metro stop. The staffs were very friendly. The room facilities were not good. The bathroom door handle was broken, and the beds looked dirty. The Wifi was terrible, that my phone could not connect it most time, even it was very slow when connected.
