Good staff, good price.
Great location, clean, towels etc. friendly staff.
Basic, no fridge in room or restaurant area for breakfast etc. No lifts, narrow stairs- should be mentioned for older people.
Good location and spacious room
No lift, so carrying luggage up or down is difficult. It's more of inn as compared to a hotel. My room was not insulated properly - a person on the floor below me was smoking a cigarette and the smoke was entering my room.
The hotel is cheap, and with an excellent location, just a couple of blocks away from the main square (Grand Place). The staff is friendly, and it is at a reasonable distance from the public transportation.
There are some pubs, and it might be noisy in the night (if you are looking for silence). The hotel does not have a big staff, which can be a problem if you need something at night, but otherwise it is just a detail. It's a basic hotel, but the location and friendliness of the staff compensates any issue.
Location near Grand Place.
WiFi won't reach top floors, poor cleanliness, dangerous narrow stairs, noisy area, and seems like owners don't care (broken and badly maintained objects).
Unbeatable location in a pleasant historic building just across the street from the Manneken Pis statue and just a couple of minutes away from the Grand-Place. Basic but tasty breakfast served to the room. Steep staircase keeps you exercised, especially if you occupy the top floors :)
Maintenance needs a bit more attention as the bathroom door handle was loose.
Location was close to the Grote Markt/Grand Place and of course Manneke Pis.
The room wasn't very clean. No waterboiler or fridge. No elevator (isn't mentioned on the website). At night noisy.
Ideally located and clean so had a good stay in a large room with a spectacular view.
I could open my window and see the Mannekin Pis. Great location for everything near the City Centre.
location, just off Grand Place. Staff was very nice. hotel was super cute.
Hotel is right by Mannequin Pis (which is a great location) but it is very loud - people are partying into the night. Wear ear phones! Stairs are very steep and narrow - could be tough for older people (like me) or people with many suitcases.
Location, location, location. Very clean. Very nice host. The staircase mentioned in previous reviews was not in issue for us, because we are young. Clean towels and shower gel and shampoo were provided. Beds were comfortable. Value for money.
Yes, it's noisy, because of countless tourists wishing to see Maneken Pis even at 2 am and 6 am. But I guess the hotel can't do anything with that.
I like the location it close to every where I want to walk too staff is helpful and kind
wi-fi did not work for me. the staff told me from the day one that wi fi is not working propelly ( it should be fix )for the next person
Location near station and tourist point
Uncomfortable beds Noisy at midnight Service from the staff The breakfast should serve while hot
Location!!!!!!! Good water pressure King bed (2x twin) Clean Daily room service (towels, make bed, etc) Bright sunlight but not direct Very hot and cold water Didn't hear other guests
Awkward size room No clothes iron No fan Traffic and tourist noise at night with windows open Water tempeture fluctuates when used elsewhere in building
The hotel is excellant in almost all aspects. The staff are so welcoming and highly helpful and hospitable. The room was so clean and comfortable with available wifi connection. The location is in the mid of the touristic area and so close to the Grand Place. Highly recommended and would go there again if in Brussels.
Right in the centre of all the main tourist attractions.
The hotel location was great for the room price. The room and bathroom size were very nice considering the hotel size. I have experienced much smaller spaces in nicer European hotels.
When reading the hotel description I missed the part that says there is not a hotel lobby. I was quite disappointed to see that the lobby was nonexistent. One of the hotel employees were at first very rude to me when I was in their gift shop. Once she realized I was a guest she softened her tone. :-/
This was the perfect location for a short stay in Brussels as most tourist sites were within walking distance. It was only 5 mins away from the beautiful Grand Place. It was easy to find from Annessens tram stop after arriving on the Eurostar (only 2 stops from Gare Midi). The staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was generous and served in your room. Definitely would stay here again.
Hotel is very close to the center, it has a perfect location. Price is very good for such a location. I stayed at the third and last floor, but still hot water was perfectly fine in the shower.
Stairs are so narrow. Since there is no elevator, it was a bit hard for me to climb to the upper floor with my luggage. Plus, wi-fi was very very poor on the top floor, you better prefer lower floors (1 and 2).
Perfect location for checking out Brussels. Manikin Pis is right across the street and the square is only about a three minute walk away. Plenty of food and drinks close by as well. The staff and service were amazing. We did not opt for breakfast included, but when I went out for waffles in the morning, she still had coffee, milk, and juice prepared for me and the fam. This was a great stay and a neat experience to be right down town in a quaint little room. Parking was not bad, there are a couple of garages pretty close by. The one we parked in was only about 5-7 minutes walking.
This is not a con - I just didn't like that I wasn't able to communicate very well with the host. But this was my fault. She spoke three languages, and I only one. My wife ended up speaking broken Spanish which we were able to get by with, but it was still tricky.
Fabulous location right opposite the Mannekin Pis, right in the old centre for a superb price. The place is a bit quirky - no lift, breakfast in the room etc, but the soundproofing is good so pretty quiet at night despite facing the street, bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and well-sized. Good for 2 or 3 nights but may start to feel a bit cramped if you have much luggage or stay any longer. But thoroughly recommended for a short break mainly due to the location and the price.
Owners were very friendly, an excellent location, good wifi, cheap good breakfast (which for whatever crazy reason, we declined). Overall very happy.
The lack of elevator didn't particularly bother me, but I could see it being a problem if you were high up and had lots of suitcases. My only real complaint would be the noise, not from outside, but *inside* the hotel, usually from the owners cleaning up or having dinner at night.
Staff/hotel proprietors were really friendly and provided great service, rooms were clean and pleasant, breakfast was simple but great - nice fresh coffee and bread with selection with jams.
The staff was very friendly and it`s a good deal!
This was a perfect hotel, perfect location, the staff were excellent & very helpful & kind, the room was clean & there was enough room for the two of us, wifi is fast, Brussels is an amazing city, we loved it here, you have to try the frittes & frittes baguette sandwiches they are delicious along with the chocolates & waffles, go & eat at the Thai cuisines they are cheap & affordable for travelers on a budget & the food is delicious, the bar next door is great for local Belgium beers & a must is, you should go to the Delirium Bar where they hold the Guinness book of records for the most beers on location a total of 2004 beers to choose from, also do the free 4 hour walk tour of Brussels city, the tour guides get paid from donations, it is a great tour to get to know about the City & its history it is right in front of the information office in the Grand Place.
