The Motel One Brussels is centrally in Brussels, a 10-minute walk from the Grand-Place, the Manneken Pis Statue, the Rue Neuve Shopping District and Brussels-Central Train Station.

Only 270 yards from Botanique Metro Station, Hotel Villa Royale offers air-conditioned rooms and free Wi-Fi just outside the center of Brussels. It features a bar serving cocktails and Belgian beers.

- good location, easy to reach the centre or the train station on foot - plenty of cheap eateries and bars nearby - building has tons of character - staff was helpful and generally very pleasant - bathroom was good for price range and clean
- room was a bit on the tiny side - stayed there only to sleep but I can see how two people would have struggled - lots of noise, you can see what's going on in the corridor, rooms around you, the bar below you, etc. You will want to sedate yourself with a few beers before going to bed - wi-fi strength not great but my room was probably the furthest from the central area
2 sets of pillows of different thickness, so you could find the one for you complementary water and chocolate on arrival window view
Lack of comfort (insufficient size of room, no wardrobe, no table, no place to put the toiletries and no towel holders in the bathroom) Hotel noises
I had a nice, clean, relatively spacious room. The staff are nice and helpful with good English, there is good wifi and decent breakfast. Convenient location close to the Porte de Namur metro station. Good value for money.
The street is not very nice, but that is a minor point.
Bed is fine, very helpful and friendly staff
Rooms are dated, weird atmosphere and strange that the sink is right next to the bed instead of in the bathroom. The floors and rooms look like old prostitution building
We loved the hotel so much. Great service, friendly staff, amazing restaurant, decor and atmosphere at the hotel will bring you back to 20th century.
It has a lot of flair, with retro styling. They've made an effort, which is more than you can say for most Brussels hotels. It was very affordable via booking.com as well. The location was personally convenient, though maybe not for everyone. Still, quite close to transport.
The neighbour woke me up when leaving early - it's a rather compact place so perhaps hard to avoid. No window to outside at all.
This hotel is not your run of the mill corporate type of place. If that's your thing go elsewhere. If it's not you'll not be disapointed here Quirky Adult Luxurious
Location. Quiet. Nice garden. Interior design.
A little dark, but fits with the design.
I liked the decor of the hotel, the Art Deco style of the place, the friendfly staff (except one member).
The bed was too low and one of the receptionists kept me waiting for long minutes before she finished her telephone conversation.
The room is pretty stylish
The light is kind of dark, the reception staff is kind of unfriendly
great design, good position, very good price/quality ratio, nice staff and good wi-fi
uncomfortable pillows, no fridge
Bad location with just okay service.
No desk, only a shelf with a sink in the room. Had to work in bed... The hallway was very dark, I had to use the flash light in my phone to find my room. All towels was exchanged every day, even the ones I only moved up to a shelf to have them out of the way. Not very invironmently friendly.
Great room, breakfast and service. I love the feeling of the place, very cosy and comfortable. When possible, I always try to stay there.
First time I had a room on the first floor and that was a bit noisy from the bar/restaurant where there was a party.
Very enjoyably designed and maintained room in a hotel situated in a building with an interesting history with its quirky and narrow staircases and corridors. The foyer+restaurant (italian) area was the best experience! Excellent food.
The speed of the wifi was not always adequate. The stiff mattress may not be liked by everyone.
Cosy, uniquely decorated art deco hotel with excellent personnel in multicultural district Elsene/Ixelles. At a 10-20 min walk to most European institutes/ buildings. Don't be fooled by the seedy-ish looking small street: the hotel Berger is a professional, very safe place to stay.
Somewhat smallish and darkish rooms (although that suits the hotel's consistent art deco style). Streetside can be noisy at night (yelling people). Shower at 7.30 am either boiling hot or ice cold (hard to control).
Very nice comfortable double bed and duvet. On a quiet street. Good value.
The walls between the rooms are very thin so you can hear everything from the next door room.
The room was clean and the internet was faster than most other hotels!
Rooms a bit small and no work desk!
Wonderful kitsch style, with small details hard to find anywhere else. The value for money was excellent.
Loud elevator alarm.
Price was reasonable, especially compared with other offers; room was adequate if a little small; bar and restaurant were fine. Water bottles in the room was appreciated.
Immediate location is a little off-putting; hotel generally seems rather dark & gloomy; didn't like having to pay 11€ extra for breakfast (which I didn't take up_
Even though the rooms are small with the handbasin in the room you get everything you need for at typical low cost business touch-down in Brussels. I have stayed at the hotel before and will do it again.
The hotel was near a metro station and there were shops and restaurants nearby.
Some building works caused noises in the room and the elevator was dirty and its lights kept on going on and off. I didnt have breakfast so I dont know if I would choose this hotel for more than 1 night.
Great Decor and Style. Very helpful staff and the location was also very comfortable. I look forward to going back to this hotel!
We loved hotel Le Berger! Very kind and helpful personel, the location was fine, close to everything, the room was clean, the bed was extra soft (slept like a baby) and the shower was amazing! We had booked a double economy room, were given 102, the Mathilde, and it was beyond our expectations. Too bad we stayed only one night! I will definitely prefer this hotel again and recommend it to everyone! Great value for price!
