it was a wonderful stay an erika's and dietrich's b&b le flaneur - starting the day with a great breakfast with fresh orange juice in the beautiful dining room of the house, enjoying the great town of bruges with lots of helpful tips from our hosts and relaxing in cosy indivudually styled rooms - thank you so much!
The owners are very genuine and nice people! Quiet location. Rich breakfast. ...but above all, the owner is an enthusiastic collectionist of antiques and displays them all around the B&B with great taste: it's a sort of great "museum B&B"! to try out!
Perhaps the friendliest b&b owner you will find. The house is from 1850 and an own little musuem. One room with an old bathtub and many more details, which gives you a wonderful feeling like being 150 years back in time.
The hotel is a beautiful antique building well located in Bruges (only 5 min walk from the centre). The atmosphere is unique. You are welcomed and helped for everything by the couple running the B&B. They are very polite and speak many languages. The breakfast they prepare in the morning is wonderful, many variety of food served. The bedroom has a big and comfortable bed, kettle with a selction of tea and coffee, hairdryer, shower or bath.
Deitrich and Erika were friendly and welcoming while respecting our privacy and space. We were only a 10 minute walk to the city centre. 5 minutes walk from a bike hire, so we took bikes through Damme and up to Holland for a day. The breakfast was amazing. It included the usual spread of cold meats, fresh pastries. ALSO had fresh fruit, one day we had fresh made yoghurt with rhubarb crumble. Erika made a different egg dish each day (french toast, croque monsieur, and a baked egg with cream, spices, cheese and crew).
Only complaint would be the rooms are on the third floor up stairs… But this was somewhat a blessing given the amount of chocolate, pastries, cheese and beer consumed throughout our stay.
Dietrich & Erica are helpful, knowledgeable and charming. The breakfast is generous and certainly not the standard bread, ham & cheese or 'full english'. The 3 rooms are decorated with curios and 'antiques' collected by Dietrich, as is the entire 3 story house. My partner Sue was particularly taken with the manikin at the bottom of the stairs holding a blackboard entreating to be 'liked' on Facebook)
Having to leave - we really should have booked a longer stay. We really have nothing else to complain about. That said it is definitely not good choice for those who expect to be able to keep to themselves, something about the place seems to attract gregarious people.
My wife and I had booked two nights at Le Flaneur in the company of my 85 year old mother. We quite enjoyed the hospitality, helpfulness, caring and perfect quality of the breakfasts. The atmospheric rooms were very well equipped and prepared in perfect condition. We appreciated the very quiet neighborhood while still within 10 minutes of the 'Grote Markt'. At night it was perfectly silent. The beds sleep excellent. On another occasion we would book Le Flaneur again.
For people with a somewhat lesser mobility the only drawback is that the three rooms that are currently in use are on the second floor (i.e. two levels up)
Food was excellent.room was excellent.owners were so friendly and Nothing was too much trouble for them.five minute walk from the main square. Really enjoyed to stay there.
the proprietors the breakfasts the sheets were super soft
A wonderful intimate place, full of charming vintage objects. Exquisite rooms, warm service, and great breakfast!
The staff was very nice, always eager to make our stay in both Bruges and their B&B as pleasant as possible. Their breakfast is very nice, with nice home-cooked dishes; hands down the best breakfast we had during our trip. Nice complimentary chocolates and wine they gave us.
The rooms are on the attic, which makes it very warm during the summer. We had a lot of flies during our stay, which did not go away even with the fly repellent they gave us. They are located not in the most central part of Bruges compared with most of the accommodation available in the city.

It is still a "work in progress" B&B but it has a lot of potential
Owners, Dietrich and Erika, could not be more welcoming and accommodating. The house is beautiful with lots of quirky antiques and full of character. Situated just a short walk from the centre, the b&b is ideal for couples on a short city break. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it (certainly fuelled a day of sightseeing in the city). Would highly recommend!
Everything is fantastic!!! The B&B is in the city centre but in a quiet neighbourhood. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They are more than happy to give some recommendations for restaurants or your visit in Bruges. Breakfast is just delicious and leaves nothing to be desired. Homemade cupcakes, quiches, crumble, croissants, freshly squeezed orange juice etc. Our room was big and the bed very comfortable. Coffee and tea were available in our room and we had a small fridge with drinks. After having checked out, we could leave our luggage for a couple of hours at the B&B and pick it up later. This was very helpful and no problem. We will recommend this B&B to all our friends as we think it is the best place to stay in Bruges! One must love it!
Fast wifi, great location. Atmospheric, old house. Nice owners. Excellent breakfast.
Friendly hosts, elegant furniture, clean rooms, convenient location.
bad wi-fi signal on the 3rd floor (guest rooms).
We have just come back from an unforgetable holiday in Brugge. One of our highlights being having stayed at this B&B. We cannot thank Erica & Dietrich more. They made us feel at home from the moment we stept in through their door. Breakfast was fantastic, Erica is a master chef, & Dietrich is a wonderfull Host with an amazing sense of humor. They served as our tour guide every morning giving us sound directions on places to visit which made our visit all the more enjoyable. Place is unique, with plenty of character, and its only a 10 minute walk from centre, with a very pretty canal view along the way especially at dusk. We would definitely want to return.
-the owners of the b&b are very nice and helpful! -great breakfast -comfortable, lovely accommodation
The house is just beautifull, full of vintage art. The hosts are lovely, helped us to get the luggage upstairs and provided us with all the information for the city tour we needed. The breakfast was excellent, very very tasty. An appartment is just few minutes from the center. We would defenently recommend this place.
Very charming hosts, that give good tips what to see or not to see in the city. The whole building is old but being renovated with accessoires from car boot and antique markets. when we arrived late at night from our city trip the entrance area was candle-decorated - very romantic! The breakfast was defenetly the best I ever had, erica did us some flamish eggs with salmon the first day and on the secodn day the suprise additionally to the artisanal bread and croissants was the best quiche we ever ate. After the desert in cuisine in the netherlands and the tourist-food in brughes defenetly a highlight in our travel. The room itself was the one in the 3rd floor with a old style bathtube in the middle of the room, also very good. Photos on the website should be changed, the b/w ones do not show the total beauty of the building and rooms. Go there as soon as you can, they're in business since beginning of the year and I expect this kind of b&b will be popular and more expensive after the first high season.
The toilet didn't have a door as can be seen on some of the photos, it was just a curtain. Could be a problem for some couples, and should be (and I guess will be) changed. We know each other long enough that it caused no headache. Check in times on booking.com are not correct, but werde mentioned in a confirming email.
We had a comfortable and spacious room in a quiet area of Bruges. Easy walking to everything, and new owners very helpful. Beautiful breakfast. 9/10
A wonderful B&B, with a very personal style, full of the warmth and hospitality of the owners. It felt like I visited some friends for the weekend. Ideal for a romatic getaway! Moreover it was very well located, only 5 min walk from the central square...
What a beautiful house full of antiques! The photos do not do it justice. Breakfast was wonderful too. Lots to choose from including hot egg options and cakes made by Erika.
Nothing at all. We would stay again and reccomend to friends.
