Nette ontvangst, kamer was conform verzoek eerder dan normaal beschikbaar, behulpzaam personeel

voorzieningen in luxe kamer, zoals een waterkoker zonder thee/koffie zakjes; geluidsinstallatie die niet werkt; tv met zeer beperkte programmering (geen Nederlandse zenders); geen badjas/slippers

Heel mooie kamers met kwaliteitsvolle afwerking. Ondanks de ligging in het centrum van de stad hebben we genoten van een "stille" nacht. Lekker en verzorgd ontbijt. Prachtig kader!

Heel mooi hotel en wij hadden een heel ruime kamer. Lokatie kan niet beter, op een boogscheut van de Grote Markt.

Het bad heeft weliswaar een douchekop, maar geen douchestang, dus douchen is niet echt praktisch. Wij namen geen ontbijt omdat 20 euro ons toch nogal veel leek voor wat we zagen in de ontbijtruimte.

Op de begane grond zag alles er netjes en, ik denk, gerenoveerd uit! Entree is mooi en het is gezellig in de lobby. Kamer was schoon.

De Front Office medewerkers waren niet behulpzaam en niet erg vriendelijk. Een taxi bellen was eigenlijk al teveel moeiten en bij het uitchecken werd er ook niet gevraagd of alles in orde was geweest. De lift naar de 4e etage, die overigens wel heel erg klein was, is wel eens aan een likje verf en een nieuw tapijtje toe. De kamer zelf was echt ouderwets: oude tafels en stoelen. Overal stukjes verf vanaf. De badkamer was niet fijn. Er hing een douchegordijn aan een rails die niet goed bevestigd was. De douchekop hing in een houder die half los hing en de houder zelf hing op kniehoogte waardoor je niet lekker onder de douche kon staan. Op de website ziet het er aantrekkelijker uit dan in werkelijkheid

The location is excellent. Close to all thé sights. Rooms are lovely and have sitting areas.

The hotel is very charming and quiet. The location is perfect for walking to the sites, dining and shopping. It is only 2 blocks from the main train station. The hotel staff is very garcious and helpful and the breakfast was very enjoyable.

The location was superb, within 2 blocks of the Grand Place, the Central Train Station, the Shopping areas, and restaurants. We appreciated the authentic flavor of the classic rooms, and the overall atmosphere of the lobby area and entrance. The service was excellent from the assistance we received in getting luggage to the appropriate floor to the reservation of a taxi on the morning of departure. We were informed of the time it would take to get to the airport, how soon before the flight to arrive, and the price of the cab. We received great suggestions as to non-touristy places to eat. We would stay in the classic rooms again.

We were booked in the new section of the hotel, rather than the classic part, which resembled a business hotel. Booking did not provide for a specific request. While a classic room was not available on the first night of our arrival, staff accommodated us and moved all our luggage to a classic room after it was vacated, and we were out and about.

Wonderful location. Stayed in superior suite which was a large room decorated with 4 poster bed, painted ceilings and period furniture. Except for comments below, great boutique hotel.

Breakfast was not as diverse as anticipated. Hotel front desk staff was aloof and not very helpful.

The location to the Central train station and to the Grand Place was excellent, a mere one-minute walk from the south exit of the station to the hotel front door, although navigating my wheeled-suitcase over the cobbled street was a slight challenge. Even though close to the Grand Place and a lot of activity, the hotel street was fairly quiet. The interior of the hotel and the room were well decorated and had a warm feel. Lighted candles in the evening was nice. Check-in and check-out was very efficient and professional. Everything was clean and in order (other than a burned-out lamp bulb in one table lamp). Bathroom was clean, well-supplied and the water was extra hot.

I stayed in the Folon junior suit in the "new part" of the hotel. New really means renovated, and the route from the front desk to the room is through the outdoor, uncovered garden area -- again a slight trick with a heavy suitcase, as there are no ramps going into our out of the outside area. The elevated took me to the 1'st floor, and although I wasn't beside the elevator, I could hear it from my room. The floors are wood and creak at every step. The room wasn't very well soundproofed, so I could hear activity from the adjoining room (they awoke at 3 in the morning, so I got little sleep until my get-up time at 8. Service is almost not existent -- seems like a 1-man show, altho I couldn't complain about any lack of needs, altho the mini-bar wasn't fully stocked. This hotel is pricey, but I suppose I paid for convenience and not worry about taxi service from/to the train station. Undecided whether I would stay at this hotel again.

Central location

Hotel was nice enough - though the eaves room we were first given was not up to much. We chose to upgrade as a result. Staff were indifferent - perfectly civil - but showed no interest in making our stay special or even decent. This was especially noticeable given the hotel was empty. Wouldn't order us a cab which meant we had to race across Brussels on foot. Given it was a four star hotel, we expected a bit more.

The staff are unobtrusive but are there if you needed them. The suite we had was very comfortable with a touch of luxury. it was easily reached from Gare Centrale direct from the airport; as well as being near Grande Place , shops , restaurants and a short walk from a tour meeting place. Despite being near to all these amenities the hotel was very quiet, particularly at night.

We thought the Breakfasts were expensive @ twenty euros each, we found a breakfast bar a few doors away that did a good continentaql breakfast for six euros.

The location is perfect, the hotel is in the centre of Brussels and is possible to go on foot to everywhere.The subway is not too far, there are many restaurants and shops around, including the Grand Place and Manneken Pis.

The room was nice,but the elevator just goes to the 4th floor.If you have heavy luggage it can annoy you. The staff wasn't lovely with you and one day the man of the recption was very unpleasant.

Fantastic location, bed great. building beautiful.

on arrival we where greeted by a snotty receptionist. offered no help with luggage ,didnt wish us a nice stay. stayed in standard room( i was pointed this out by said receptionist)it was dull and dusty .the room is at the top of the modern section.its like they cant be bothered with them.lift dosent go to them. very tight stairs not at all suitable for older person. Bathroom was awful ..hand held shower,cheap toilet roll. sink had scum marks left. complained re room ..the choice we where given was cancel and book another hotel. asked re upgrade got quoted prices where not even shown rooms.Only the hotels around where booked out I was going.I was going to speak to the manager but from what i can see none of them have any manners..no hellos, no goodbyes .it might be a beautiful building with an amazing location but sadly for me it had no soul. was so looking forward to our stay was glad to leave. on checking out didnt get asked then did we enjoy our stay. brutal staff.
