Needs a nice bar
Location, rate and interesting old decor
The location - a ten minute walk from Grand Place The stunning foyer The friendly staff on Reception The generously sized rooms The ease of check in Free and reliable Wi-Fi The immediate location The sense of history
The prices in the bar / mini bar
Amazing ,,, all good
- Central location (10-15 minute walk to Grand-Place) - Friendly staff - Reliable and free wi-fi in the room and common areas - Old world features, especially the lobby - Comfy and big bed - perfect for a good nights sleep
- Seedy area: Lots of 'adult stores' nearby - Breakfast is expensive (€20pp if you book at check-in or €25pp if you go in on the day. Best to get breakfast elsewhere.)
Everything was good (don't know about the food as we didn't eat in the hotel) we were so close to all the bars and restaurants
The bar staff were unfriendly and at 10.30 told it was last orders then 10 minutes later they were ushering us out of the bar.
Most of the staff are pleasant and friendly, expect one lady in front office on the departure day. Location is great
1-limited breakfast variety 2-The front office lady gave me us a hard time for delaying checkout time of one hour for one room of 3
Lovely hotel and good value for money in an excellent location.
Car parking was available but was expensive at 30 euros per day.
Firmness of bed Decor of hotel was superb Upgraded on arrival Staff were extremely helpful
Car parking very expensive €30 per night No access to car without attendant and the staff keep your keys which I found very inconvenient if you just wanted to put/get something .
The location was wonderfull, the room was good and spacious, the evening service that closed our curtains and left a chocolate on our pillows was a delight.
The hotel states that parking is avaliable and you dont need to make a reservation, although when i get there the parking was full and we were left with a car to park in the center of Brussels....the check in was very slow and done by someone who was still learning, we all need to learn, but i expected better from a 5 star hotel. The room i booked was supposed to have a coffe machine, according to the website, only a water boiler and powder coffee. The breakfast was poor and the waiter kept interrupting our meal by taking the plates right in front of our nose, leaving the fork and knife on the table...The check out was also very slow and the guy doing seam to have no idea of what he was doing.
There is a monumental feel to the hotel.
Noise from the street kept waking me up.
Convenient, very close to the North station and walking distance to places of interest (though this applies to virtually every establishment within the old town, I suppose). Metro is half a block away, and there is a supermarket nearby (cheap snacks).
Poor sound-proofing. At the first night of my stay, the guy next door brought back a screaming queen. It was way too exaggerated, and the little sound-proofing between the rooms didn't help. Booking mentioned 'free late check-out' until 2 p.m.' Asked the front desk - was told that it is not free. This certainly is false advertising. Right next to the red light district. Has druggies in the neighbourhood.
Old Equipment (Coffee & Tea Maker)
Quite room. Very comfortable bed. Free minibar. Great service
Staff were very helpful, room size was outstanding. We were held up for a medical emergency and we were offered 4 extra days at the same amazing discounted rate and they continued making our lives comfortable for the rest of our stay......Thankyou
Can't think of anything..... :)
It's next to the metro and 5 min walk from Brussels nord station. The interior of the hotel was nice and grand. The rooms were also grand and spacious for a typical hotel in Europe. Liked the personal touch on the welcome note.
A/C doesn't operate in summer, and the double windows in the room were hard to operate if you still needed the curtains down, But wasn't a big issue.
Extremely friendly staff, the hotel is supre cozy, it's located 7mins away from the train station and I would totally recommend it!
There are not much facilities, (e.g.:tea/coffee in the room)
Personnel , rooms
Air conditioned apparel
The room was so poor, the furniture and everything looked so tired. - As a genius member on booking we where allowed to check out until 14:00, but the lady on frontdesk called my husband at the room and told him to check out at 12:00 my husband went down, when i arrived the hotel i got so mad i talked to the staff they excused because they did not have the info, and said we could go back to our room. This was not professional handled by them, so poor! - when i was to pay for the stay, the staff member asked if i have used the minibar i said yes, he was ready to charge me, then i told him that it says that we could use the minibar free of charge, he then said oh sorry thats right. Conclusion; this hotel is far from a 5 star hotel, so poor quality, staff seems like if they are not informed of anything. Wont stay here more, sorry.
Close to important places within walking distance to music museum, parks, piazza and restaurants
Stayed in other 5 star hotels . Was not the same standard equivalent to 4 star .
