Our room was large, quiet and really conveniently located. The bed was comfy, the bathroom had everything we needed and the wifi was fast. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was low key but good - the coffee was excellent. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this place.
- Close to Grand Place -Close to restaurants and bars -Close to Metro -Modern concept -Comfortable bed - Nice shower
- Arrived to get are room and it wasn't ready yet. So we dropped off our bags and were told to come back by 2pm. When we came back the rooms were still not ready. - Person at bar was kind enough to give us something to drink while we waited.
location, big, sunny rooms, breakfast, clean and spacious bathroom, tasty and cosy restaurant. the nicest stay of our trip
one of the days, the staff of the breakfast was not keeping up and told us 15 minutes before breakfast should have finished that we are too late and not in a friendly manner. but except of this, it was amazing and the staff was more than helpful and friendly any other time!
I loved the bed and the shower, very comfortable for the price.
the B&B is in the middle of the centre but in one of the quietest street of Brussels. Wouldn't recommend if you come by car, but wouldn't recommend the car in Brussels anyway!
Location is excellent and only a short 5minute walk to the closest metro (Beours) Room is a good size compared to most hotel rooms, especially for the price
No tea/coffee facilities in room or fridge for water however you do get tokens to get coffees in the Winehouse Osteria (where you check in & have breakfast) No iron in room or available to use when asked No black English tea at breakfast time
We really liked the location and the style and roominess of the accommodation.
The room was very warm with no air con or fan, the bed had a memory foam mattress which was also very warm and too soft and the bed was made up with a warm duvet - all a bit much in August with temps of 28c. No toilet roll holder in the bathroom meant you had to balance the roll on the edge of the wash basin. The buffet style breakfast was provided in a nearby bar which in the evening was intimate and had a good atmosphere but for breakfast was cramped and the choice of cereal and yoghurt without fresh fruit was a little restrictive, staff had to be prompted to refill empty plates/juice jugs, and coffee service was slow.
The location is fantastic. 3 mts away from Maniquen Pis and 5 mts from Grand Place. Also very central and beside several tram and train stations. Room was very clean, very modern, newly furnished, cozy and elegant. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was yummy. Overall it felt like a "home" Suitable for couples and friends but not families with kids since the facilities are limited.
Stairs to the rooms were pretty narrow. So carrying a big suitcase up and down might be a bit of a hassle
Pietro, the manager was great. He was helpful and runs a very nice small wine bar/Italian restaurant downstairs from the B&B. The other staff members were also very friendly and helpful. The location (besides the loud bar down the street) was another positive.
The room was ventilated by opening the back door and the front window which overlooks a noisy street which has a bar 1/2 block away that is very loud until 4am. There was no fan, so the choice was noise or cool. The room had no decorations or any touches that made it seem inviting. Across the street was a light that could not be blocked out because of the location and shape of the pull down shade and having the window open for air. Also, the fact that you have to pay in cash was a hassle. Would not recommend to friends.
Beautiful place. I stayed with my husband for two nights and we were delighted. Our room was like a little flat with a kitchen and small dining table, fully refurbished bathroom and spacious bedroom. Bed was very comfortable, despite being two singles together. It was all very clean and comfortable. Wifi was ok. Location is very convenient, five to fifteen minutes walking to all central attractions in Brussels. It is in the gay neighbourhood. You will find a lot of options to eat or drink. Pretty nice area tough the little street were it is located looks kind of lonely, but everything was peaceful and quiet.
We didn't have a double bed, it was made from two singles together. Breakfast was poor.
Good quiet location near city centre. Pleasant litle B&B. Breakfast was served in nearby corner wine bar. We like it.
The breakfast was very good and the stuff was very friendly. It is really in the center, 2 minutes walk from the grand place
Not very clean!
Friendly staff, nicely decorated apartment, nice little breakfast buffet.
Staff are nice but don't really know what they are doing. Hot water and heating were not switched on (apparently it is a common problem that the boilers switch themselves off). Staff didn't know where switch is located and decided to take a cigarette break before looking! Eventually we had to shower in another room. There is no information in the room e.g. how to operate TV/stereo, fire safety information (important because main door is locked overnight), contact details for hotel management ( there are no staff on premises overnight). All floors are hard wood and there is no sound proofing - it could get quite noisy! On our last morning the bar man (the rooms are above a wine bar and the whole operation is run by the bar staff ) told us he couldn't phone us a taxi because he didn't have a number! He did call one when we suggested he could get a number on the internet.
My friends and I love the breakfast so much, everyday we expected can have wonderful day with the delicious and considerate breakfast!! Everything is included~
Nothing we don't like , or maybe just have bigger space in standard room, would be better!!
The staff was very polite and helpful! The location is excellent. The price -quality ratio is very good
Location, Modern bathroom, spacious room
The staff Marcel and Giuseppe very helpful, Nice quiet location and best smelling towels ever!
I particularly enjoyed this "B&B" and its very welcoming staff. It is conveniently located near the Bourse in the heart of the city center, very close to a metro station. My room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Nice breakfast. I highly recommend.
The room was excellent, staff very friendly offered us coffee while we waited to check in. breakfast was very good!
Good location. Not far from the square & other site seeing things. Plenty of restaurants & bars around. Rooms clean. Staff helpful
Room was a bit noisy. You can Hear next door & the room above. Signage could be better. Drove past it 3 times. It Says this hotel offers a car park. This is not true. A car park is about 5 mins walk away. booked hotel because it offered car park. Didn't want the Hassel looking for a secure car park when I arrived.
The location near to the centre of Brussels was excellent, with the metro also very close by. Staff were also most informative and helpful at all times.
Wifi did not work at all in our room ( though we were able to log on in the breakfast room) an inconvenience.
Everything works well with the wine bar, very relaxing stay
The staff was very accommodating and took care of all of our requests promptly and courteously. The room and WC were spotlessly clean and the bed was large and extremely comfortable. Te size of the room was ample.
Insufficient shelf/storage space. There was a single drawer at the base of the armoire. As a result we had to lay out our clothing in piles on the (very clean) floor at various points along the wall. Although it would be easy to mount a shelf on the wall in the WC, there was no shelf space for toiletry bags, tooth brushes, razors,, etc., except along the edges of the sink. The small desk also housed the large-screen TV, which left very little room for working on a laptop.
Good location and clean.
We enjoyed a delightful time at Les Clarisses in Brussels. The staff were exceedingly accommodating & friendly. They provided great advice & assistance with our daytime walking itinerary and local restaurant choices for the evening. The breakfasts offered wide variety of choices and GREAT coffee! We highly recommend for an authentic Brussels experience.
We did not experience any negatives unless stairs are a problem.
