Beautiful gardens, lovely old world feel to the place, classy. Food and service good. Friendly staff.
Rooms very basic, beds too hard.
Park, park, park, beautiful building and fourniture.
not 24 hour reception, but on the other hand, I feel like the whole building is there only for us :)
This was the last hotel of our honeymoon and we were so impressed with the luxury.
No tea making facilities.
Great setting and gorgeous gardens. An impressive dining room with an old world feel, where breakfast was served. The hotel was easy to find and a straight drive into Bruges of only a few minutes. There is a great park and ride option just outside of Bruges' centre which we took advantage of, and meant we avoided the hustle and bustle of inner Bruges and could safely park our car at our hotel at night.
The rooms were a bit tired, and there were holes in both the top and bottom sheets. Wifi reception was intermittent, and not always available in the rooms (Wifi code changes daily). Staff seemed generally distracted.
Decent location if you have a car and a wonderful building in great surroundings
No reception, no bar, no restaurant
nice, clean hotel. We loved the quietness and the beauty of the backyard and the lake. There is a small playground if you have smaller children although the slides needs to be clean-they were full of dead branches, dirt and spiders.
good beds , furnishings , and service
no tea making tray in room , taxi fare to bruges centre was 16 euros not hotels fault but it said 7 mins drive I didn't think 7mins drive would be more than 10 euros so beware
The room was pleasant, with a beautiful view of the grounds.
We were very disappointed with this hotel. There was no one there when we arrived and the restaurant and bar were closed, which was not made clear when we booked. We would definitely not stay at this hotel in the future or recommend to others.
Location and overall look of the castle
size of the room and bathroom - it was really small (we stayed at room 18) selection of food for breakfast was somewhat poor
The character of the place, an old castle with original furniture. Park is perfect for special celebrations outdoor.
Breakfast is included, but given the room rate it could be a little bit more abundant.
Good breakfast Good parking Good location
No means of making any hot drinks in our room. No wifi access in our room as per advertised, also access code only valid for two hours before another code is needed from reception.
Very nice building Gorgeous garden Good location
No Wifi signal inside the room
It was easy to find and parking was good. The room was spacious and the bathroom brand new. Beds were comfortable.
Too far too walk to city centre, but easy to drive in and park in underground carpark. Room for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) was 2 x double beds - not ideal for a 16 and 13 yr old. Hotel felt that it was in transition - as if it had enjoyed a more luxurious past but need money spending on fixtures and furniture to re-create past elegance. Breakfast was adequate but not as good as advertised,
Beautiful gardens Clean rooms
Did not receive wifi signal in room
Great view, inside and out. Lovely building. Free wifi and free parking. Dog friendly
Bitten to death by Mosquitos in the night. Owners were a little odd/off. Wifi was 2hrs a time, needed to ask for more but reception was only open from 9-5pm
Don.t go on mon or tues if ypu want tp stay in hotel. Shut bar at 6pm
Very relaxing atmosphere, good breakfast , friendly staff
The staff were excellent and the grounds were beautiful
Road noise in our room at the front was the only downside.
Very nice grounds to relax. The hotel was charming and our room had a sunroom with a great view over the lake.
The bed was a bit hard, and the pillows where too large.
the food in the restaurant was excellent. the gardens are beautiful.
lack of towel rail or shelves in bathroom
The atmosphere, gardens and views were superb. Lovely dinner at the restaurant. Our room was excellent with a big balcony overlooking the garden and lake. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the hotel was easy to get to and very handy to the city. We had a great stay and would stay at this hotel again.
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Staff, the property, the furniture, the serenity, the food and the location.
Wifi only worked outside or in foyer.
Think of mosquito nets!
