The surroundings were nice; it was in a country area with a canal just across the road. The room size was very big, we had a seperate sitting room beside our bedroom Personally I didn't like the fact that it was so far out; we were planning on going to the nearby music festival Graspop and didn't realise there would be no public transport and had to get a taxi to and from it which was very expensive, so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone going to that festival! Also, the first morning we were there the house keepers came into our room without any prior warning and without giving an explanation as to why! I found this very rude and bizarre. They were storing all the linen in a wardrobe in our room, which I found strange, either way they left the door open and were coming in and out for at least 15 minutes, and hardly said a word to us the whole time. When we complained to the manager she didn't take us seriously and then for the rest of our stay was quite stern with us. For this reason I was quite unhappy with our stay here.

Ik vond het een geweldig hotel. De Hollandse ober was een en al toewijding. Chapeau! OOk de ambiance en de rest van het personeel deed zijn best. Ik kom er zeker terug! Geen verlcihting bij de ingang van het hotel!

Niets ! Onvriendelijke ontvangst. Honden welkom maar blijkbaar te betalen volgens 'la tête du client'. Afstandsbediening tv werkte heel slecht tot niet. Praktisch niet geslapen omwille van rumoerige andere gasten en dit tot 4u 's nachts. Ontbijt, daar hebben we eerst 20' op wachten al hoewel we lawaai in de keuken hoorden en genoeg attentie getrokken hebben. Tenslotte is mijn vriend tot in de keuken gegaan. Kortom, wat een romantisch weekendje moest worden was één grote ontgoocheling, behalve ons etentje aan de overkant in de brasserie. Daar heel vriendelijk ontvangst gehad, en heel lekker gegeten. We waren na de slapeloze nacht allebei doodmoe en het teleurstellend ontbijt heeft daar niet veel aan veranderd. Ontvangst van zaakvoerster was dus absoluut niet vriendelijk. Het zaalpersoneel daarentegen was wel vriendelijk, daar kan zij nog iets van leren. 'T Ja ik heb alles dus hierboven al beschreven, er beviel mij dus niets.

Het ontbijt was uitstekend en de bediening ook! Eerste avond is vispannetje tegengevallen, weinig saus uitgedroogd. De andere dag was hij perfect! Misschien was er een andere kok van dienst?!?

Het ontbijt was héél lekker en verzorgd. Onder het bed lag het vol met pluizen, er werd nergens onder gepoetst alleen erlangs. Douche was ook niet proper. We waren er met nog een koppel en in hun kamer was het juist hetzelfde.

Praktisch als uitvalsbasis naar het Bluesfestival in Peer. Vriendelijk en correct onthaal, verzorgde ruime kamer, ietwat gedateerd van opsmuk, maar heel net. Lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt.
